To uninstall apps that do not uninstall on Windows 10, you can first go to the appropriate section of the Settings of the operating system.
To access it, click on Start button (the one with the Windows flag) that you find in the bottom left part of the taskbar and select the icon of Settings (the one with the gear wheel) from the menu that opens.
In the window that at this point you see appear on the screen, click on the item App and, in the screen that is shown to you later, make sure the item is selected Apps and features in the left sidebar (if not, provide it yourself).
Now, identify the application you wish to uninstall from the list under the heading Apps and features located on the right, right click on it and press the button Uninstall (twice in a row). Then follow the additional uninstall procedure that is eventually proposed to you and you’re done. In some cases, at the end of the process, you may also be asked to restart the computer.
Keep in mind that, by default, applications installed on Windows 10 are sorted by name. However, if scrolling through the list of applications you cannot find the one you want to uninstall, you can help by typing the title in the appropriate search field. You can also use the drop-down menu Sort by, to change the view mode, and you can use the drop down menu drop down menu Filter by, to choose to filter the applications according to the unit on which they are installed.
Another system that you can take advantage of to uninstall apps that are not uninstalled on Windows 10 is to act from Control panel, but in this specific case it is not possible to intervene on the applications installed through the Microsoft Store, keep this in mind.
That said, to use it, click on Start button (the one with the Windows flag) that you find in the bottom left part of the taskbar, type “control panel” in the search field and select the suggestion relevant from the menu that opens.
In the window that is now shown to you on the screen, select the item Uninstall a program or that Programs and features (depending on the type of display set via the drop-down menu at the top right), then locate the program you want to remove from the proposed list, press the button Uninstall placed at the top and follow the installation procedure that is proposed to you on the screen. If in the list of programs to be removed you cannot find the one you are interested in, you can change the order in which they are shown to you, by clicking on the column headings First name, Author, Installed on, dimensions or Version which are located at the top.

Official installation tools
Some programs that are more, so to speak, complex, that is to say, those that take root more deeply in the system and that are composed of a considerable number of files and numerous keys within the entire Windows Registry, in order to be removed need special uninstall tool made available directly from the reference software houses.
To give a practical example, if you want to uninstall the antivirus in use on your PC but by taking advantage of the “standard” functions of Windows 10 you can’t, evidently it’s because you need the dedicated utility.
Generally, the utilities for removing programs are .exe files having a weight of a few MB or even a few KB. To take advantage of them, just double-click on them and follow the simple on-screen wizard proposed, which allows you to delete all the folders, files and registry keys of the application for which they were designed.
To find the removal utility for a given program, simply visit the website of the relative manufacturer, then go to the section dedicated to the product reference or dedicated one to support and assistance and proceed with the download from there.
Alternatively, you can make one Google search, using keywords like [nome programma] uninstall tool or [nome programma] removal tool. If the program you have searched for has an uninstall utility, you will certainly find it by clicking on one of the first results in the list. In this regard, however, I invite you to proceed with the download only and exclusively if the utility is hosted on an official software forum or on its website. In all other cases, forget it, as the utility may work bad or, at worst, lead to problems on Windows or bring “dowry” of viruses.
If you cannot delete a given program on Windows 10 and the removal utility is not available, you can consider resorting to the use of Revo Unistaller. It is, in fact, a software through which you can remove any program installed on your PC, even those that seem impossible to uninstall, all without leaving residual files and unused keys in the registry. It can also be used in the portal version and basic is free, but possibly it is available in some paid variants (with prices starting from $ 24.95), which allow you to obtain additional functions.
To download the program to your computer, go to its website, click on the button Free downloads located at the top center and press the button Portable placed at the wording Revo Unistaller Freeware.
When the download is complete, extract the folder to your likingZIP archive obtained and start the .exe file present inside. In the window that is now shown to you on the screen, click the button Yup, then click on the button OK.
At this point, proceed to translate the program interface by clicking on the button Options located at the top, selecting theItalian from the menu Current language located at the top and then pressing on the button OK.
Next, locate the program you want to get rid of from the list in the central part of the Revo Unistaller screen, select it and press the button Uninstall that you find at the top. Then follow the wizard for removing the software and it’s done.
If you need to delete an application taken from the Microsoft Store, instead, click the item first Windows Apps from the top of the Revo Unistaller window, then select the reference application from the list and press the button Uninstall always located at the top.

In addition to Revo Unistaller, there are also other programs that can be used to forcefully and completely remove the software installed on Windows 10. If you want to try alternatives, the following are the ones that in my opinion represent the best solutions in the category .

It also allows you to completely eliminate residual traces of applications following their removal. Basically it’s free, but it’s possibly available in a paid variant (at a cost of $ 24.95) that offers some advanced features.
- IOBit Uninstaller – program that allows you to completely uninstall the software on your computer, through a decidedly well-kept user interface. It also allows you to clean up accumulated files from browsers and to remove toolbars and plug-ins. Basically it’s free, but it is also available in a paid version (at a cost of 19.99 euros) that offers a greater number of functions.
- UninstallView – totally free solution that does not require installation thanks to which you can remove the programs on Windows in a clean and complete way, avoiding to encounter any errors.
Other solutions to uninstall apps that don’t uninstall Windows 10
Even if you have followed my instructions on how to uninstall apps that do not uninstall on Windows 10, you have not yet succeeded in your intent? In this case, first try to carry out the operations described in this step, then repeat the instructions that I have already given you in the previous lines from scratch and you will see that everything will finally go in the right direction.
First of all, it cannot be excluded that the fault can be traced back to some virus that “infests” your computer. To cope with it, I suggest you do one scan with antivirus installed on your PC and to agree to the removal of any threats identified. If the antivirus does not detect threats, I invite you to run one too anti-malware scan of the entire system, relying on specific tools, such as in the case of those I told you about in my guide focused precisely on best anti-malware. These are, in fact, tools that do not “stomp the foot” to the classic antivirus, as they do not act in real time, and which allow you to identify and remove even the most insidious and particular cyber threats.
Another thing that I invite you to do, if you can’t remove a given program, is to make sure that you are not running on the computer.
