How to unblock a sender blocked on Alice Mail
As already mentioned at the beginning of the post, the service Alice email has long been incorporated into TIM MailTIM’s Webmail, so to explain how to unblock a sender blocked on Alice I’ll have to talk to you about TIM Mail. The procedure is theoretically applicable from all browsers, but in the tests I conducted I noticed that with Safari for macOS, for example, it is not possible to access the filter management panel (the one that contains blocked senders). If you too have problems viewing the TIM Mail management panel, use the Chrome browser, which is certainly supported by the service and is available for all operating systems.
To unblock a sender blocked on Alice Mail by computerall you have to do is connect to the TIM Mail official site and log into your inbox, as you usually do.
Then click on the item Settings located at the top right and select the item Mail preferences from the menu that opens. Then stop on Filters (you find this item both in the center of the page and in the left sidebar) and you should see the box that lists all the active filters on your inbox.
Then select the named filter Blocked senders filterpress the button Edit and, in the window that is proposed to you, identify the name of the sender to unblock: then click on it and press the button Deleteto confirm their removal from the unwanted list.
If the sender you want to unblock is the only one on the list, you must perform the complete deletion of the blocked senders filter. To do so, go back to the previous TIM Mail screen, select the Blocked senders filter from the active filters box and click on the button Delete.
Mission accomplished! From this moment on, you will return to receive messages from the user you previously blocked (more or less voluntarily).
From smartphones and tablets
To access TIM Mail on the move you must use the browser, as there is not yet an official app of the service for smartphones and tablets. Unfortunately, however, the mobile version of the TIM Mail site does not allow you to easily manage filters like the desktop one, and the latter does not work very well with all browsers: in my tests, the procedure was successful with Chrome on Androidwhile on iOS there doesn’t seem to be any way to make it go, neither with Chrome, nor with Safari (since, on Apple’s mobile platform, all browsers use the same rendering engine).
To proceed, therefore, connected to TIM Mail from Chrome on Android using the address
mail.tim.it and log in to your e-mail box, as you usually do (I remind you that on smartphones and tablets you must enter the suffix of the email address, eg. @ alice.itthe relative box should not be checked as it happens on a PC).
Once logged in, connect to the address
https://webmail.pc.tim.it/cp/ps/Main/login/SSOLoginin order to invoke the desktop version of the service, and then proceed as explained above. The only difference is that, instead of the boxes with the lists of filters and blocked senders, you will find drop down menuon which to press to select the desired option.
How to unblock a sender blocked on Alice by email client
You use your mailbox Alice email predominantly from client, then from an e-mail management program? In this case, if the sender block has been set via the client, you can act as explained below; if, on the other hand, the block was imposed by the web version of TIM Mail, you must proceed as explained above (therefore from a browser), as the filter is applied upstream on the TIM Mail servers and not in the client you use locally.
