How to spread a Facebook page: The “Like” counter on your page Facebook it hasn’t moved in a while and you are looking for a way to remedy the situation. I’ll tell you right away: you can’t do miracles, but if you’re satisfied with some “tips” on how to stimulate the activity of your page, I’ll be happy to give you some.
In the next paragraphs, in fact, I will provide you with practical advice on how to spread a Facebook page showing you how to take care of its appearance and content and promoting it through advertising and external channels to the social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg. Even if you may not consider yourself a social media expert – and Facebook in particular – you have no reason to fear: if you follow the advice I will give you step by step and, above all, you will do it consistently, sooner or later the results will come!
So, are you ready to get started? Yup? Very good! Make yourself comfortable, take all the time you need to concentrate on reading the next paragraphs, implement the suggestions I will give you and you will see that you will not have the slightest problem in spreading your personal Facebook page or that of your company. Take care of the design and aesthetics of the page
It is true that the dress does not make the priest, but it is also true that the eye wants its part: that’s why it’s important take care of the design and aesthetics of your Facebook page. If you think about it, the profile image and the cover image are the first things you notice on a page, even before the content itself: that’s why you have to carefully choose the “dress” to wear them.
Here is some information you should keep in mind to improve the aesthetics of your Facebook page and increase the chances of spreading it to a large number of followers.
- Profile picture – it is preferable to use a photo that portrays your face in the foreground (if it is a personal page) or the your company logo (if it is a company page). The image must be free of defects and must allow others to immediately understand what types of content they can find on it. Facebook’s recommended profile photo size is 170 x 170 pixels for computers and 128 x 128 pixels for smartphones.
- Cover image – since it takes up a significant amount of page space, it is essential to choose it carefully. One idea could be to use a photo of you while you work or carrying out the activity for which you created the page as a cover image and insert a quote or your company motto. The important thing is that the image is not grainy, “squashed” or with obvious defects. For this reason, I recommend that you use the Facebook recommended size for your cover photos: 820 x 312 pixels for computers and 640 x 360 pixels for smartphones.
Curate the contents of the page
Obviously, the user who visits your page will not simply be satisfied with its aesthetics: this is why it is essential curate the contents that you publish on the same. This means regularly posting posts that are not only beautiful to look at, but also in tune with the overall theme of the page.
For example, if your page deals with topics related to the protection of endangered animals – a rather serious subject, which must be treated with due sensitivity – you could try to attract more visitors by posting GIFs, images or videos in which they are represented endangered species that utter funny phrases and at the same time make other users think. If you think about it, this is a good way to create “viral” content, that is, they spread rapidly and on a large scale.
Still on the subject of content, don’t forget to include some in the posts hashtag (or words describing the post itself preceded by the symbol of #), in order to “label” them and make them more easily found by users who search on Facebook. However, I advise you not to overdo the hashtags: 3 or 4 are enough and advance (we are not on Instagram!); if you have no idea which hashtags to use, use services like Hashtagify And Top Hashtag, which collect the most used hashtags on Facebook and other social networks.

Sponsor the page
The fastest and most effective way to spread a Facebook page is to sponsor it. The Facebook algorithm, in fact, offers greater visibility to the contents posted by “private” profiles rather than those of the pages and, consequently, the advice I have given you so far may not be enough to increase the visibility of your page.
To sponsor your Facebook page, log in to the social network, go to the page you want to advertise, press the button Promote located a little further down the page name and then select one of the options proposed based on the type of promotion you want to carry out: Get more messages, if you want to connect and chat with potential customers; Promote your Page, if you want to promote your page directly; Get a personalized advertising plan, to carry out a sponsorship created “tailored” to your needs and the characteristics of your page; Highlight a post, if you want to sponsor a particular post, and so on.
After selecting the option you prefer, follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the sponsorship of the page: you will be asked to select the audience you want to reach with the sponsorship (eg. People who like your Page, People you choose by targeting, etc.), choose the budget that you are willing to invest, the duration of the countryside, the currency with which you intend to finance it and the payment method that you prefer to use.

Advertise the page on channels external to Facebook
In addition to sponsoring the Facebook page within the same social network, I suggest you advertise it on external channels, such as your website or other social networks where you are particularly followed (eg. Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
For your website, you could add a button that invites readers to “like” your page and follow its updates. You don’t have to have any knowledge of web programming to do this: all you have to do is connect to This Page and fill in the form that is proposed to you by entering in the field URL to “Like” the address of the page to be disseminated and, if you wish, choose the layout, the size and other features of the chosen button. Then, press the button Get the code, copy the resulting HTML code and paste it on your website / blog to invite visitors to like your page.
To promote your page on a social network on which you have an important following, however, all you have to do is publish a post containing the link to your page and an invitation to “Like” it: that’s all.
Other useful tips for spreading a Facebook page
In addition to the “tips” I gave you in the previous paragraphs, there are other useful tips for spreading a Facebook page which, if followed, will allow you to increase followers and interactions.
One of these tips is to encourage people who follow the page to promote it among other friends which might interest you. How can you do it? Whenever you reach a specific milestone (eg the first 100 “Likes” on the page) you propose exclusive content that can further stimulate the attention of the public and promise new ones to achieve another result (eg the 200 “I like it”). This is a clever way to encourage your followers to invite other friends to the page without being pedantic and giving them a “reward” in return – new, interesting content.
Manage another Facebook page with a lot of fans to her credit and want to use it to drive the less successful one? So what are you waiting for to advertise it on the latter? Log in to your Facebook account, go to the page that is less successful, press the button Share (to view it from mobile you must first press the button (…) located at the top right, next to the Facebook search bar) and select the page name which is most followed to publish a post on the latter in which you invite users to visit the one that has few likes.
Among the solutions you can consider to increase the visibility of your Facebook page there is also it exchange of likes with pages of your friends or specific Facebook pages and groups that are easily found on the social network (just type the terms “exchange of likes” in the Facebook search bar).
However, I do not recommend using these “gimmicks” to spread your Facebook page, because they are solutions for their own sake: it is absolutely useless to have “fake” followers or, in any case, not interested in your content. At most you can try to advertise it within groups that deal with issues related to the content on your page, but being careful not to fall into the practice of spam: you could violate the Facebook terms. Understood?
