Sendinblue is one of the best services for sending newsletters, on the other hand it is used every day by 100,000 users in more than 160 countries around the world and allows you to send 300 free emails a day . Ideal for both marketing professionals and startups , established companies , online shops and NGOs , it offers all the tools to create effective marketing campaigns, even via SMS and chat; all in full compliance with the rules of the GDPR for the processing of personal data.

In addition to an extremely intuitive drag-and-drop editor for creating newsletters, Sendinblue includes: a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to manage relationships with customers and future customers, a segmentation automation system to send communications addressed to specific audiences , the ability to do A / B tests to test the effectiveness of campaigns, advanced statistics with geographic data, transactional emails , engaging landing pages and registration forms , retargeting to win back old visitors and much more. Also, thanks to the API andplugin , integrates into numerous services and products and supports all the most used social platforms.

Alternatively there is the Premium planranging from 49 euros / month for sending 20,000 emails per month and up to 499 euros / month for sending 1 million emails per month (without the Sendinblue logo). The latter includes all the benefits of the Lite plan plus A / B testing, Marketing Automation, Facebook Ads, Landing page, multi-user login, advanced reporting and telephone support. Finally, there is the Company plan with custom email volume, priority sending, 20+ Landing pages, 10+ users, SSO (SAML), Account manager, priority support and more.

To create a newsletter with Sendinblue, all you have to do is connect to the main page of the service and register via the registration form, or by clicking on the button to log in with Google. Once this is done, open the verification email you received, click on the button to verify your identity and fill out the new form that is proposed to you with your personal data and those of your company . After this step too, check the box to accept the General Conditions and the Antispam Policy and verify the mobile number using the code you receive via SMS.

The Sendinblue dashboard will open , through which you can manage all aspects of your marketing campaigns. Initially you will be asked to complete three basic steps: fill in your profile form (which you have already done by registering), import your contacts and plan your first email campaign .

To import the contacts, go to the Contacts menu (which you find at the top), press the button to import the contacts and choose whether to upload a CSV / TXT file with the contacts or whether to copy and paste the data from an Excel file. At the end of the procedure, you can also set up groups in which to insert the imported contacts.

To create the email campaign, instead, go to the Campaigns menu (always at the top), click on the button to create an email campaign and fill in the fields relating to name , subject , text preview , email and sender name . Then click on the button to go to the next step and choose whether to use the drag and drop editor (recommended), the advanced text editor or whether to paste the HTML code of the newsletter. Alternatively you can also view the Template Gallery with some predefined templates orimport an external model.


Once the newsletter has been created (you can also view a live preview for various devices by clicking on the icons at the top left), press the button to publish it, then choose the list of recipients to send it to and set the day / time of sending . MailChimp is one of the best free solutions to create and manage a newsletter. It allows you to schedule sending, manage subscribed users and make numerous templates available with the ability to apply customizations and changes.

To create a newsletter with MailChimp, connect to the service’s website and click on the Sign Up Free button at the top right to register. Then enter your details in the registration form, click on the Get Started option and activate your account by pressing the  Activate account button contained in the email received at the address indicated above.

After completing the registration and logging into your account, presses on the Lists and Create list items to create a list of users subscribed to the newsletter. Follow the procedure for creating the list, then proceed with entering the contacts by choosing one of the available methods.

  • Manual insertion : if you do not have many registered users, you can choose to insert them manually by pressing the  Add contacts  and Add a subscriber items . Then enter the user data to be entered and click the Subscribe button to complete the addition.
  • Bulk Import – If there are hundreds of users to add, the previous solution would take too long. You can then choose to bulk import via CSV or TXT file. Then press the  Add contacts  and  Import contacts items , select the import method you prefer between  CSV or tab-delimited text fileCopy / paste from file and  Integrated service and press the Netx button to proceed with the upload.
  • Subscription by the user : if it is the first newsletter you create and you still do not have subscribed users, you can implement a subscription form to be inserted on your website. Access the list created just now by pressing the Lists item at the top and presses the arrow icon pointing down , then choose the Signup forms option  , choose one of the subscription forms available between  Embedded forms  and  Subscriber pop-up , apply the graphic style you prefer and insert the fields to be displayed. As a last step, copy the HTML code you see under  Copy / paste into your site and paste it on the page of your site where you want to view the newsletter subscription form.

You are now ready to create your newsletter template and schedule it to be sent. Then click on the Campaigns and  Create campaigns items , then  click on the Create an email option , enter the name and click on the Begin button . In the next screen, click on the  Add recipients item  and select the list created just now, choose who to send the newsletter to and click on the Add from and  Add subject buttons to enter the sender and subject of the email.

Finally, click on the  Design Email item  and choose the Layout or theme ( Themes ) you prefer and press the  Next button . Now, customize the newsletter through the contents ( Content ) that you can insert in the email, such as  Text  (texts),  Image  (images),  Button  (buttons),  VideoSocial Share  (options for sharing on social networks),  Code  ( code) etc .: drag them into the newsletter to add and modify them, then press the  Save & Close button to save the changes.

Mad Mini

Mad Mimi  is a free online service that allows you to create and send newsletters in an incredibly easy way. In the free version it allows you to create a newsletter by choosing one of the available templates and to send it to a maximum number of 100 people.

To start creating your newsletter, connected to  the Mad Mimi website , locate the Create my account item , enter your email address in the Email field and press the Next button , then enter a password and click on the button Signup to complete the registration. On the next screen, enter your personal data in the First Name , Last Name and Company / Group fields, put the check mark next to  I agree to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service and press the Continue button .

You are now ready to create your newsletter. First, click on the Audience item at the top and press the Add contacts button to add the users to whom you want to send the newsletter. If you have collected all the data in a CVS, TXT or XLS file, select the Many at a time tab and load the file by pressing the icon of the little man enclosed in a square , otherwise click on the One by one option to manually enter the contacts. Then enter their data in the  Contact Name and Contact Email fields , choose whether to insert them in a specific list and press the Add contact button .

Once the contacts have been added, go back to the Mad Mini main page and press the Compose button on the right, then choose one of the templates available from Sales promotion , Event invitation , Build your own and Traditional newsletter .

Then add texts and photos to the newsletter by clicking on the buttons located at the bottom of the page: Text & image  to put the text on the left and the photo on the right; Image and text  for the opposite; text  to insert text only; Image  to insert a photo; Button to add a button and Divider to insert a divider. Now, customize the body of the newsletter by pressing the pencil icon to make changes or the trash can icon to delete individual modules. Also, via the Styles button(on the right) you can set the colors of the newsletter text, links and background.

After completing the creation of your newsletter, enter the title you want to assign to it in the text field at the top, then click on the Save button to save the newsletter or on the Continue button to proceed to the next step.

In the new open page, type the email addresses of the people to whom you want to send the newsletter in the field under the heading Send to individuals , otherwise put the check mark next to the Entire audience option to send the newsletter to all the contacts previously added. Now, press the Continue button and check that the data in the form are correct, then press the  Send button to start sending the newsletter or the Send later button to schedule sending.

MailPoet Newsletter

MailPoet Newsletter is the best solution for creating free newsletters for a WordPress site. It allows you to create a personalized newsletter with the possibility of scheduling its sending and automating its content, it allows you to manage users and divide them into lists and set up registration forms to be inserted on your site.

To create your newsletter with MailPoet, access the WordPress dashboard and click on the Plugin item in the left bar, then click on the Add new button at the top and, in the Search plugin in progress field , type MailPoet . Then press the Install now button related to MailPoet Newsletter (it should be the first result), wait for the installation to be completed and press the Activate button to activate the plugin.

Now, click on the MailPoet item in the left menu, scroll the page down and press the Magnificent button! Now take me to MailPoet , then click on the Add option at the top to start creating your first newsletter. Then press the Create button for the Newsletter item , choose the template you prefer from those available and press the Select button .

To customize the template of your newsletter, go to the modules on the left side of the page and press one of the available buttons: the trash can icon to remove the module, the gear wheel to access the settings; the two overlapping squares to duplicate the module and the arrows icon  to move it.

If the module is a text container, click on it to modify, add, remove and customize the text, while if you intend to add new modules to your newsletter you can drag the one of your interest on the right under the heading Content , inside the newsletter itself. Also, you can change the layout, style and colors via one of the options available on the right.

  • Column layout : to insert a multi-column layout in the newsletter.
  • Styles : to customize the color, font and size of the text, to set the color of the links and to choose the background color of the newsletter.
  • Preview : allows you to enter an email address to receive a preview of the newsletter created or view it directly in the browser.

Once you have finished customizing the template of your newsletter, press the Next button at the bottom, then enter the details of the newsletter by entering them in the Subject , Lists , Senders and Reply to fields . If you want to send the newsletter immediately, click on the Send button , otherwise put the check mark next to the Program item , enter the sending date and press the Program button .

You should know that with MailPoet you can also create automatic newsletters that are sent on a specific day of the week and with content that varies automatically. To create an automatic newsletter, press the Add button at the top and press the Set button relating to the last article Notifications box , then select the sending frequency using the drop-down menu by choosing one of the options between Once a day at , Once at Week on , Monthly on , Monthly on and Immediately .

Then set the time and day on which you intend to send the newsletter and press the Next button , customize the template of your newsletter as indicated above and that’s it.

In conclusion, you need to know that in order for users of your site to subscribe to the newsletter you need to set up a form. Then press the MailPoet item in the left sidebar, select the Modules option and press the Add button at the top. Customize the signup form and, once completed, place it on your site via the WordPress Widget section or by inserting the shortcode  on a page.

Other solutions for sending newsletters

If the solutions proposed above have not completely satisfied your needs, you should know that there are numerous free solutions for sending newsletters. Here are some that you can consider and that might be right for you.

  • Mailant : another free online service for sending newsletters. It allows you to import and manage contacts without limitations, to create newsletters with customized layouts and offers the possibility to insert images and attachments. Furthermore, with Mailant it is possible to schedule the sending of the newsletter by choosing the day and time of “shipment”.
  • SendBlaster : the ideal solution for those who prefer to create and manage their own newsletters using software to be installed on their computer. Sendblaster is only available for Windows PCs and is presented as an e-mail client, with a simple and intuitive interface that allows you to take advantage of the numerous features of the service.
  • Newsletter2Go : an online platform that allows you to create and send your own newsletter. In the free version it allows the sending of 1000 emails per month. Among the main features, it allows automated sending and offers numerous free templates, with the possibility of requesting customized layouts and for every need.
  • Newsletter (WordPress): another solution for those who need to implement a newsletter on WordPress. The Newsletter plugin boasts over 200,000 downloads and in the free version it allows you to create and send newsletters without limitations and shows the statistics of clicks, reads and not opened.
