With Libero Mail
Libero Mail , the famous Web Mail service offered free of charge by Libero, also allows you to easily send attachments of all kinds. Just start composing a message, click on the Attach item (the paper clip icon) and select the files of your interest. Send attachments via email client
If you are not in the habit of using your favorite e-mail service directly from the browser but you use a specific client for your computer (eg Outlook on Windows and Mail on Mac) or for your smartphone (eg Gmail on Android and iOS ) ), know that you can send your attachments even in this case.
The operations to be performed, regardless of the program or app used, are good or bad always the same: open the client, click / tap on the button to start composing a new message (usually the one with the pencil ), type in the appropriate fields the recipient ‘ s email address (possibly you can also enter more addresses), the subject and the body of the message and click / tap on the button to insert the attachments (usually the one with the paper clip ).
It is then necessary to select the files saved on the device in use that you want to send via email and click / press on the button to send the message (usually it is the one with the word Send on it or with the envelope for the letters ). The time it takes for the message to actually be sent varies depending on the weight of the attachments.
As regards the maximum size that attachments can have, unless otherwise specified, the limitations imposed by the e-mail provider employed must be taken into account. For example, by sending a message with Outlook using a Gmail email account, the attachments can have a maximum size of 25 MB, just as if the related Web Mail service were used.
Solutions for sending heavy attachments via email
As I said at the beginning, if you need to send attachments via e-mail that are excessively “bulky”, the aforementioned e-mail services (which also include clients for computers and mobile devices) may not be able to fulfill the purpose in question, due to the more or less stringent limits imposed in this sense.
If this were your case, you can still deal with it by contacting some special online services (usable from any device and operating system) that allow you to send emails with heavy attachments in tow. You ask me what are these services? Well, for example those you find listed and explained below, which in my opinion represent some of the best in the category.
- JumboMail – One of the most renowned and popular web services for sending heavy attachments via email messages. It is free and can be used without registration to send files with a maximum weight of 20 GB . However, by creating a no-cost account on the site, it is possible to take advantage of some additional functions, such as adding the recipient to an online personal address book. It should be noted that it is eventually available in the Pro version, for a fee (11 euros / month or 110 euros / year), and in this case the maximum weight of the files that can be sent goes up to 250 GB .
- Filemail – Excellent no-cost Web service that allows you to email files with a maximum size of 2 GB . You can add both single files and entire folders. The recipient is sent an e-mail message containing the link to download the data from the service’s servers
- WeTransfer – Other online service belonging to the category in question. It is free and allows you to send attachments via email with a maximum size of 2 GB . The message can also be sent to multiple recipients and no registration is required to use the service. Eventually it is also available in the Plus version, for a fee (12 euros / month or 120 euros / year), which allows you to send up to 20 GB of files and to archive up to a maximum of 100 GB on the network.
For more information about the above services and to learn about others, you can refer to my tutorial focused on how to send thoughtful attachments as well as my guide on how to send large files via email and my post on how to send large files.
