How to select friends on Facebook: Do you want to post a post on Facebook and limit the vision only to certain friends but you don’t know how to do it? Are there some too petulant friends who call you in chat every time you log into your Facebook profile and would like to stop them without giving up the possibility of chatting with other people who are online? Need to select all your Facebook friends to send them event invitations but can’t? No problem, just ask!
With today’s guide, we will see together how to solve all these small (but annoying) problems that plague Facebook trying to do it in the easiest and fastest way possible. Read the directions I am about to give you and you will learn once and for all how to select friends on Facebook avoiding many hassles and annoyances that previously made your relationship with the social network so frustrating.
If you want to learn how to select friends on Facebook to have your posts only be viewed by a small group of people, all you have to do is click on the button Friends located at the bottom right in the text field where you write your status updates and select the item Personalized from the menu that appears.
In the box that opens, select the item Specific people or lists from the drop-down menu These people or lists, type the names of the friends to whom you want to make the post you are writing visible in the text field below and click on the button Save Changes to save the settings. At this point, post your message normally and it will only be visible to selected people, all others will see nothing.
If you plan to post content often aimed at a small circle of people, you can create friend lists within which you can enter all the names of the people to whom you want to make your posts visible, so you don’t have to type them manually every time you have to publish a message, a photo or a video. Just log on to this Facebook page and click on the button + Create list located at the top right.
Wishes select friends on Facebook in chat to choose which people to appear online and which not? Nothing easier. Click on thegear located at the bottom right (in the chat bar) and select the item Advanced settings from the menu that appears.
In the box that opens, put the check mark next to the item Enable chat only for some friends, type the names of the friends for whom you want to be available in the text field below and click on the button Save to save the settings.
In this way, when you connect to the Facebook chat you will be online only for the friends you have selected and not for all the others. For more information, see my article on how to make yourself invisible on Facebook.
Finally, I remind you that despite Facebook’s official restrictions, you can select all your friends at the same time when you need to send invitations to an event. Just use some browser extensions or some tricks that involve inserting a string of code into the Firefox and Chrome web console.
