Now you would like to retrieve some of these chats and get back in touch with some of the people involved in them; the problem, however, is that technology is not really your forte and you can’t find the option to do it on your smartphone.

Don’t worry: if things are just as I described them and, therefore, you wonder how to see messages stored on Facebook from your mobile, know that I’m here to help you. Preliminary information

Before explaining to you how to see messages stored on Facebook from your mobile, I must first of all provide some useful preliminary information in this regard.

In fact, you must know that, to succeed in the intent you have proposed, you must use the app of Messenger for Android (downloadable from Play Store or from alternative stores) or for iOS / iPadOS (downloadable fromApp Store).

The “real” Facebook app, in fact, unlike the Web version of the famous social network, does not include any section for viewing and managing chats. Either way, don’t worry – it’s all a lot simpler than you can imagine. Read on to find out all the details.

Now we come to the heart of the matter: below you will find explained what are the operations to be carried out for see messages archived on Facebook from your mobile, using the Messenger for Android And iOS / iPadOS.

To start, start the app in question and, once its main screen is displayed, press the icon of your profile located at the top left.

Once this is done, in the menu that is shown to you, click on the item Archived chats, in order to see all the conversations in this section.

Finally, to view the messages within an archived conversation, all you have to do is press on user’s name of your interest. Easy, right?

You archived a conversation on Messenger but have you thought about it now and would you like to move it to the main conversations section? No problem, I’m just going to explain how to do it.

To get started, launch the Messenger and go to the section Archived chats, as I explained to you in previous chapter.

Now, locate the chat archived with the user of your interest and press and hold your finger on his name. Finally, to cancel archiving, tap on the item Cancel archiving in the menu that is shown to you.

In addition to as I indicated in the previous lines, you can see the list of conversations archived on Messenger on your mobile phone also using the browser installed on your device (for example Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS / iPadOS), in case you don’t want or can’t install the Messenger app.

To do this, go to the Messenger home page, and enable site viewing in desktop mode, in order to carry out the login to your account, by filling in the appropriate fields on the screen and then pressing the button Log in.

On Chrome, to view a website in desktop mode, press the button (…) located in the upper right corner and select the option Desktop site in the menu that opens. Then wait for the page to reload.

On Safariinstead, presses the button TOTO located in the upper left corner and select the option Request desktop site in the menu that opens. Then wait, even in this case, for the page to reload.

Now, on the main screen of Messenger, tap on the icon (…) placed at the top right and then presses on the item Archived chats.

At this point, press on conversation of your interest in the list on the left and you will be able to view all the messages.

Finally, to restore it and thus make it visible in the list of main conversations of Messenger, tap on the icon (…) located in the left bar, in correspondence with the username and finally, tap on the item Remove chats from archived ones.
