How to see HP printer ink level from PC
As for the Windows PCthere are at least three different ways to check the remaining ink level in HP printers: use software HP Smart for Windows 10 and Windows 8.1, theHP Print Assistant included in the printer drivers itself (compatible with all supported versions of Windows) or the web panel printer (if it is a network device).
For everything to be successful, it is essential that the printer has been previously installed and configured in the system, and that it is turned on and (if provided) connected to the same network to which the PC is connected.
HP Smart (Windows 10, Windows 8.1)
If you have Windows 10 or Windows 8.1you can conveniently manage all aspects of the printer via the software HP Smart, available for free on the Microsoft store. If you haven’t already, connect to this web pageclick on the buttons Get And Open Microsoft Store and, when the latter is started, click on the button Installto proceed with the download.
Then, turn on the printer and wait a few moments for it to start up completely (and connect to the network, if applicable), start the HP Smart program calling it from the Windows Start / Start Screen menu (the icon of the flag located in the lower left corner of the screen) and, if this is the first time you are starting it, wait a few seconds for the software to identify the network printer.
When this happens, click on the first name printer and wait a moment for the configuration to complete. The game is practically done: if everything went well, you should immediately see a miniature depicting the residual ink levels of installed cartridges. To view the graph in detail via the cartridge management page, click on the thumbnail seen above.
