How to see chats stored on Messenger from smartphones and tablets
You are interested in understanding how to see chats archived on Messenger using the app of the famous service for Android And for iOS? So, to begin with, take your device, unlock it, access the Home screen and tap on theMessenger app icon (the one with the blue speech bubble and the white lightning bolt).
Now that you see the main screen of the application (the one you can access by tapping on the symbol of comic book bottom left), regardless of whether you’re using a device Android or a iPhone / iPad, select the field Near at the top and type the name of the person or of the page with which you had started the conversation you want to retrieve, then select the suggestion relevant among those proposed to you.
Once you have carried out the above steps, you will finally have access to the archived conversation, with all the messages exchanged, any links, media, stickers, etc. It was easy, wasn’t it?
If you want, you can also decide to restore the conversation by returning it to the main screen of the app. To do this, you just need, very simply, to write a message. So, type your text in the appropriate field at the bottom and send it, by tapping on the button with thepaper airplane you see appear on the right. Alternatively, send an emoji, a voice message or other using the buttons at the bottom of the screen. That’s all!
Clearly, if you had to think again, you can always archive the conversation again by identifying it on the main Messenger screen, swiping its title from right to left, tapping the button with the three lines horizontally (on Android) or on the symbol of dustbin (on iOS) and selecting the option Archive (on Android) or that Hide the chat (on iOS) from the menu that opens. How to see chats stored on Messenger from a computer
You are interested in understanding how to see chats stored on Messenger from your own computer? Don’t worry: it’s child’s play and you can do it both through the browser, by visiting the web versions of Facebook and Messenger, and through the official applications of the latter for Windows 10.
If you want to see the chats stored on Messenger via the Facebook website, the first step you need to take is to open the browser you usually use to surf the Net from your computer (eg. Chrome), connect to the social network home page and log into your account if necessary.
If you are using a Windows 10 and you have installed theFacebook application, you can succeed in your intent also through the latter. So, start the application by invoking it from the Start menu and log in to your account if necessary.
At this point, regardless of whether you are using Facebook through the site or through the application, click on the icon comic book at the top right of the screen and click on the link See them all on Messenger, located at the bottom left of the menu that opens, in order to access the complete list of conversations.
In the new page that appears, click on the button in the shape of agear located at the top left and select the item from the menu that appears Archived conversations, so you can see all the conversations you have archived. Therefore, identify the one you are interested in from the list on the left and click on it, to be able to read its contents.
If you want, you can also restore a chat, so as to make it visible again in the list of active conversations, by typing a text message in the appropriate field (below) and then clicking on the item Send, which is on the right. Alternatively, send an image, an emoticon or other, using the appropriate buttons that you can always find at the bottom of the conversation screen.
If, after restoring a conversation, you have second thoughts, you can archive it again by clicking on the comic book at the top right of the Facebook site or application, by selecting the item See them all on Messenger from the menu that appears, locate the conversation you are interested in in the list on the left, by clicking on the button […] visible by hovering the mouse pointer over it and selecting the option Archive. Messenger it can also be used separately from Facebook. To use it in its Web version, open the browser you usually use to surf the Net from your computer (eg. Chrome), go tohome page of the service and log into your account if necessary.
Alternatively, if you are using a PC equipped with Windows 10 and you prefer to act via the application, you can connect to Messenger using theofficial application of the service. To start it, call it from the Start menu and, through the window that opens on the screen, log in to your account (if necessary).
At this point, regardless of whether you are connected to Messenger via the site or application, click on thegear located at the top left and select the item Archived conversations from the menu that appears. In the new screen that appears, locate the conversation you are interested in from the list on the left and click on it to be able to read it.
If you wish, you can also report the conversation of your interest in the list of active chats: to do this, type a text message in the field located below and send it by clicking on the item Send (on the right). Alternatively, send an image, an emoticon or other, using the buttons that you always find at the bottom of the conversation screen.
In case of second thoughts, so if you want to bring the conversation back to the archived chats list, after reaching the home page of the Messenger website or starting the Messenger application on your PC, locate the one of your interest in the list on the left, move the mouse pointer over it, click on the button […] you see appear and select the item Archive from the menu that opens.
