Save videos from Messenger from smartphones and tablets
Are you interested in understanding how to save a video from Messenger from your Android smartphone or tablet or from an iPhone or iPad? Then follow the instructions below and you will see that in no time you will succeed.
If what you are using is an Android device and you want to save a video that you have received (or that you have sent) on Facebook Messenger, the first thing you need to do is to start the famous Newark social instant messaging app by tapping on its icon (the one with the blue balloon and the lightning bolt printed above) that you find on the smartphone or tablet screen where there is a complete list of installed applications. Then select the injury conversation from the tab Messages on the main screen of the app.
In the screen that will subsequently be shown to you, press and continue to hold down for a few moments on the reference movie, then select the item Save video from the menu that appears at the bottom of the display. The video will therefore be saved on the device and to confirm the success of the operation you will see a special message appear on the screen. It was simple, wasn’t it?
You can then view the video you saved from Messenger by going to the app Gallery of your smartphone or tablet and opening the album Messenger that was created. You can then play it as you usually do with all the other “common” movies saved on your smartphone or tablet.
To be able to save a video from Messenger on your iDevice, the first step you need to take is to start the famous Facebook messaging app on the device by tapping on its icon (the blue balloon on the white background with the lightning bolt in the center ) which is on the home screen. From Facebook chat
If you want to save a video received on Messenger by accessing the chat system integrated on the Facebook website, the first fundamental step you must take is to connect to the home page of the social network with your account via the web browser you generally use to surf the net (eg. Chrome), click on the button with the comic book located in the upper right part of the screen (on the blue bar) and select the reference conversation from the menu that appears.
In the conversation window that you will see appear at the bottom of the screen, locate the video that was sent to you (or that you sent yourself) and that you want to download and presses on its preview in order to start playing it in full screen.
Then bring the cursor to the top of the page and click on the item Download you see appear. Once this is done, the download of the video will start immediately and, if you have not made any changes to the default settings of the browser you are using, it will be saved in the folder Download Of computer.
From Messenger online
If, on the other hand, you use the dedicated online Messenger application and want to save the videos received (or sent) in the conversations from there, the first thing you need to do is to connect to the main page of the service through the web browser you usually use to surf the net (eg. Chrome) and log in with your account. Once logged in, locate the conversation reference from the list on the left and click on it.
Now, find the video you want to save in the right part of the window, the one in which the conversation opened, click on the button Play present in the center of the same in such a way as to start playback and then presses in any other point of the player so as to access the display on the internal screen.
Finally, place the cursor on the item Download which is at the top left and treads on it. At this point, the download of the movie will start immediately and the file will be automatically saved in the folder Download of your computer, unless you have not made changes to the default settings of the browser you are using.
Save videos from Facebook

To save the videos on Facebook from Android or iOS you can resort to the use of some applications used precisely for the purpose in question. There are plenty of resources of this type. Among the many available on the square I am sending you to consider those that you find indicating (and explained) below.
- My Video Downloader for Facebook (Android) – Free application to download movies from Facebook with elementary operation. Just start it by pressing the button Login, log into your Facebook account, locate the video to download and click on its thumbnail. Then you have to select the option Download from the menu that appears and choose the format for the download.
- Video Saver (iOS) – Free application useful for downloading videos on Facebook and other portals. To use it, you have to start it, press on the empty field at the top and plug it up Paste URL to immediately paste the link of the video on Facebook. It is then necessary to wait a few moments for the video to be processed and once the relative preview appears at the bottom, press on Repost and choose Save video from the menu that opens.
On both Android and iOS, once the download of the video is completed, the relative file will be stored in the photo gallery of the device, in the album dedicated to saving the videos.

From a computer, you can resort to using Web SaveForm, an online service that allows you to download the videos present not only on Facebook but also on other online platforms, all in a rather simple way and in a handful of clicks.
To serve, connect to home page of Web SaveForm and paste the URL of the video on Facebook you want to download in the bar at the top. Then press the button in the shape of arrow which is on the right and choose the format in which to save the movie: MP4 HD for the high definition version or MP4 SD for the standard definition version.
If the browser tries to play the videos instead of downloading them, right click on the item MP4 HD or MP4 SD and choose the option Save link as from the menu that opens.
Finally, click on the green button Download and wait for the downloads to start and finish. Once the download is complete, if you have not made any changes to the settings of the web browser you are using, you will find the video in the folder Download of your computer.
