How to return to the Facebook diary: Have you installed a browser extension that deactivates the social network timeline but now you don’t know how to remove it? Suddenly the cover image you set on your Facebook profile disappeared and you don’t know how to restore it? Don’t worry, now we solve this problem too.

If you don’t know how to go back to the Facebook diary, all you have to do is follow the directions I am about to give you and, regardless of the browser used or the extensions you used to remove the timeline, you will be able to restore the standard Facebook appearance. Trust me, it takes less than two minutes.

If you want to know how to go back to the Facebook diary after installing a browser extension that “artificially” deactivates the timeline of the social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg, you can easily reach the goal by temporarily disabling or completely removing the add-on block diary.

The most used add-ons to delete Facebook diary are TimelineRemove And RestyleTimeline, both are compatible with both Chrome and Firefox and both can be deactivated or deleted very easily.

For example, if you use Google Chrome all you have to do is click on the icon Menu located at the top right (those with the three horizontal lines) and select the item Tools> Extensions from the menu that appears. On the page that opens, locate TimelineRemove or RestyleTimeline from the list of extensions installed in the browser and click on the icon trash can to completely remove the add-on or remove the check mark from the item Activate to disable the extension without uninstalling it. If any steps are not clear to you, read my guide on how to delete Chrome extensions for more details.

If, on the other hand, you use Mozilla Firefox, you have to click on the orange button Firefox located at the top left and select the item Additional components from the menu that appears. On the page that opens, locate TimelineRemove or RestyleTimeline from the list of extensions installed in the browser and click on the button To remove to completely delete the add-on or on the button Deactivate to disable the extension without removing it. For more details, read my guide on how to delete Firefox extension.

If you haven’t installed any extensions but your profile cover has disappeared, which now looks like the old one, you probably accidentally selected the option to delete your Facebook page cover. But don’t worry, even in this case you can return to the Facebook diary easily.

All you have to do is connect to the main page of the social network, select your name in the top left (to open your personal profile page) and click on the button Add a cover located at the top right.

Then confirm your choice to use a cover image by clicking on the button OK, and select the item Choose from photos or Upload photos from the menu that opens depending on whether you want to upload a new image to use as a cover or you want to select one of those you have already uploaded to your online profile. Simple, right?
