How to remove Babylon: During the installation of a freeware program downloaded from the Internet, did you not pay attention to the checked options and now you find yourself with the annoying Babylon translator toolbar installed in all the browsers of the PC? Don’t panic.

Today I am here to help you and to explain how to eliminate Babylon from Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. The operation is feasible in a few clicks, but next time be careful. You could install much more annoying and dangerous things on your PC than Babylon!

If you want to find out how to eliminate Babylon , the first step you need to take is to go to the Windows Control Panel by clicking on the appropriate link in the Windows Start menu .

In the window that opens, click on the item Uninstall a program to access the list of applications installed on your PC and locate the Babylon toolbar on IE (i.e. the Babylon toolbar installed in Internet Explorer). Then click on its name and remove it from the computer by clicking first on Uninstall (top) and then on OK and Close (in the window that opens).

Now, also select the item related to BabylonObjectInstaller and click first on the Uninstall button (at the top) and then on Yes and OK to complete the uninstallation process for this other component of Babylon.

At this point, you should have managed to eliminate Babylon from Internet Explorer, but the translator toolbar may have remained in both Firefox and Chrome. Let’s see how to remove it from these browsers too.

As for Mozilla Firefox , you need to go to the C: Users Your username AppDataRoamingMozillaFirefoxProfilexxxxxxxx.defaultextensions folder on your computer and delete the folder . If you can’t find the folder just mentioned, make sure you’ve enabled viewing hidden folders as illustrated in my guide on the subject. The operation must be carried out with Firefox closed.

To remove the Babylon toolbar from Google Chrome , you must instead start the program, click on the wrench icon located at the top right and select the Tools> Extensions item from the menu that appears. In the page that opens, locate the item related to Babylon and click on the trash can icon located next to it to uninstall.

Finally, since Babylon also changes the home page of the browsers in which it is installed, proceed to restore Google or any other site you want as a starting point for Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome following the instructions in my guide on how to change the home page The Internet .
