How to move the watch from the Huawei lock screen

If you want to know how to move watch from huawei lock screen, know that this operation is possible using the default tools of Android and EMUI. I do not recommend using apps that add widgets to the lock screen or modify it, as they may not be compatible with the devices of this company or their installation could cause anomalies in the system interface.

Therefore, if you want to proceed without any problem to change the lock screen of a Huawei smartphone, what I advise you to do is to carefully read the suggestions that you find in the following chapters, in which I will tell you in detail about all the tools you have. already available on your device to be able to achieve this your goal.

Change the theme

Change Huawei theme

The best solution you have from yours to move the clock to the lock screen of Huawei smartphones is to plan to change theme.

In fact, on Huawei devices there is a default app called Themes which acts as a virtual shop for customizing the EMUI interface. You can find the app icon in question on the phone’s home screen. In case you do not find it directly on the home screen, check its presence in some folder.

Once you’ve done it, go to the tab Themes, above, and presses on the voice Categories, which you find below. On the next screen you will find different themes divided by categories. Then go to the area at the top, where you can select the section Top free, which contains all the best free themes that you can use on your Huawei smartphone.

When you have identified the one you like best, tap on his thumbnail and, in the theme tab that is shown to you, click on the button Free Download, located at the bottom. When the download is complete, the button will appear at the bottom Apply: tap on it and, in the warning you see, press the button Ignore.

If you followed the directions I gave you to the letter, your new lock screen will have been set up. At this point, press the side switch off key twice, so you can immediately see the lock screen. If you’ve chosen a theme with the clock in a different location, it will already be active and visible.

In general, if you want to know which are the best themes to use on a Huawei smartphone, my advice is to carefully read the tips I have given you in this guide on the subject.

If, on the other hand, you have changed the theme and you want to know how to change the wallpaper and other elements of the EMUI interface, you can read my guide on how to configure a Huawei smartphone.

Enable AOD

AOD Huawei

Another function that allows you to have the watch in a different position of the lock screen on Huawei is the one called Always On Display (AOD), commonly known in Italian as Display Always On.

This feature allows you to set a screen with some information, such as the time, to be shown perpetually on the device screen, keeping the device always on (in low-power mode). This mode is enabled only when the screen lock is activated, overlapping the latter.

There are several considerations to make regarding this feature. The first concerns the battery life: if, with the lock screen, the display is turned off, with the AOD active this does not happen, keeping some elements of the screen active which inevitably cause a consumption, albeit almost negligible, of the battery.

In addition, the topic has always been controversial display burn-in: it is a decay effect of the pixels in OLED displays, such as AMOLED, which results in a “ghosting” effect, ie a halo on the screen in the exact position where the static image was, just like the clock. Fortunately, the AOD functionality available on Huawei prevents this problem by periodically moving the position of the elements, thus avoiding the possible appearance of this phenomenon.

Finally, the last consideration is that with the AOD active the clock will be in the center of the screen, gradually and dynamically varying from the top to the bottom area. Pressing, however, the screen wake up key, you find yourself in front of the lock screen, with the clock set in its default position.

Using the AOD to have the clock in a different position on the lock screen is certainly not the best solution, but just a trick. My advice is to use, regardless of whether you need to have the AOD active or not, a different theme, as I advised you in the previously chapter.

If you still want to activate the AOD on your Huawei smartphone, what you need to do is make sure you have it EMUI 10 or later. To check this, tap on the app Settings located on the home screen or in the drawer and select the item Phone info. Then make sure that the wording EMUI version both indicate the one I indicated to you.

If your Huawei smartphone is not equipped with at least version 10, you can try to check if any updates are available. In this regard, what I advise you to do is to carefully read all the procedures that I have indicated to you in this guide of mine dedicated to the subject.

That said, always in the app Settings, select the items Home screen and wallpapers> Always-on display and move up ON the lever next to the wording Always active display. By activating the lever next to the wording All day, you can schedule the activation of this feature only during certain hours of the day. Easy, right?
