How to make money with Facebook: For some time now you have dedicated time to read my guides dedicated to the functioning of Facebook, eager to discover all the secrets of this social network. You have thus created a Facebook page, you have followed my advice on how to get more “likes” on Facebook and you have therefore managed to create a Facebook page with a fair number of active users who follow you every day.
You have done all of this for a very specific purpose: your ultimate goal is to earn with Facebook, spreading your content through the page you created. Well, let me tell you, it’s a feat that isn’t easy at all. Facebook is a social network designed to stimulate interaction between people, it is not a sales platform. I know, it’s not nice to turn off someone’s enthusiasm like this, but it’s my job to tell you how things really are. So if your intent is to get a real salary with a business on Facebook, I’m sorry, but you have to take into account that very few are able to do it (and they all have a very high number of active users on their pages); if, on the other hand, you are satisfied with small income to feed – perhaps together with other sources of income – your activities on the Web, go ahead and read this tutorial.
What I can advise you to use are some online services that, by taking advantage of the affiliate programs of popular e-commerce sites, allow you to get commissions on the sale of items online. You will then be able to take advantage of the Facebook page you created to promote them, through a sort of virtual showcase. Using these services you can then find out how to make money with Facebook. As anticipated, I emphasize that you cannot expect to be able to support yourself only with Facebook, but if you follow my advice, you may be able to scrape together some money. Are you ready to get started? In the following lines I will explain how you might be able to earn with Facebook.
Earn money with affiliate services (Amazon)
One of the most used methods to make money with Facebook involves the use of affiliate tools made available by some popular companies in the technology sector: Amazon and Apple are among the most famous companies that offer subscription to affiliate programs. If this is your first time hearing about affiliate services, you should know that it is about the possibility of creating sponsored links. Through these links, users will purchase products recommended by you on Amazon or iTunes (as regards the Apple affiliate program). Users who click on the link and purchase will not have any kind of surcharge; on the contrary, you will be able to collect a percentage ranging from 1% to 10%, depending on the category to which the item sold belongs.
These Amazon sponsored links can only be created once you have subscribed to the affiliate program that you can activate for free, in fact it does not provide for any cost. However, it is a program aimed at certain people, for example dedicated to those who have a website or a blog. Furthermore, it must be emphasized that all the generated links allow you to earn not only on the purchase of the shared product, but also on any other item purchased by the user on Amazon, starting from that link and within 24 hours of its opening. If you are interested in joining the Amazon affiliate program, please consult this Amazon page: you will find all the information you need.
Earning with Affiliate Services (Apple)
Apple also has its own affiliate program that allows all subscribers to receive small commissions on the sale of apps, books, and other content on the iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or App Store. To participate, go to this website, click on the button first Apply, then on the link subscribe now and fill out the form that is proposed to you.
In order for the request to be accepted, you must provide certain precise information to the Apple managers; for example the address of your website, which must strictly comply with Apple’s guidelines. This means that it must already be 100% complete and active (you cannot provide the address of a site that is still under construction), it must not host offensive or violent content and it must contain a clear information on user privacy.
After joining the Apple affiliate program, you will need to provide your bank details, set a minimum threshold for receiving payments and you will be able to generate sponsored links to use for earn with Facebook– To create them, simply add your Affiliate ID to the end of an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store URL.
As with Amazon links, you will be paid a commission not only on the app or content you report directly, but on all purchases that your followers complete within 24 hours of opening the link. Find more information here.
Before moving on, I would like to give you just a little advice: do not overdo it in proposing sponsored links to your followers through your Facebook page, otherwise you will lose many “likes” and you will have worked so hard for nothing. Also I suggest you to be as transparent as possible with the people who follow you. Explain to them that the affiliate link does not provide any surcharge for those who buy and that it is a tool that will allow you to earn a small amount of money, in exchange for the content you offer to your followers. Also try to propose content that is in line with the content of your page, share interesting content and you will see that no one will complain and, indeed, you will probably be appreciated for your work.
Earning with e-commerce (Blomming)
One of the tools that will allow you to earn with FacebookPotentially more profitable than Amazon or iTunes affiliate programs is using a service that will allow you to open an online store and use Facebook as a direct selling tool for its products. Unfortunately, however, this service is not free, you will have to make an investment.
To achieve this, you can use a service such as Blomming which allows you to open a digital store in a nutshell, allowing you to sell products directly on Facebook. However, after taking a 15-day free trial, you will need to sign up for a subscription. The service offered by Blomming to earn with Facebook has a monthly cost: it starts from € 9.99 per month for the version Starter which allows the sale of up to 10 products, going for € 19.99 per month for the version Basic which offers the possibility to sell an unlimited number of products, up to € 24.99 per month to subscribe to the subscription plan Premium which will provide you with all the tools you need to sell products on Facebook. Alternatively, you can subscribe to an annual plan to save on the subscription price.
The operation of Blomming is very simple: connect to his home page, click on the button Register with Facebook, authenticate through your social account and start upload products on your online store by pressing the appropriate button located at the top. You will now be asked which plan you would like to subscribe to activate the trial version.
After uploading your products to the store, go to the tab Publish (top right), click on the button Sell on Facebook and follow the on-screen instructions. You will need to choose the page where you want to add the store and configure it according to your preferences. More information is available in my guide on how to use Facebook to sell: you will find all the step-by-step information you will need to make the most of Blomming’s potential.
How to make money on Facebook – Useful tips
To conclude, I want to give you some little advice that will allow you to better manage your business, allowing you to earn with Facebook in an honest way.
- Don’t spam: since Facebook is a social network, sharing sponsored links in an exaggerated way may not be frowned upon. It is in fact quite useless to bombard your Facebook page or Facebook groups with dozens and dozens of sponsored links published every day: a few links with quality products are better, rather than many links shared only with the intent to earn. Think first of offering a service to your users and then making money. Just to give you some examples, if your Facebook page talks about technology, you can think of offering links to hi-tech products on offer; if you talk about cinema or TV series you can share the links of DVDs or Blu-Ray of popular films, or again, if you love culture, you can report interesting books to your users to read. In a nutshell, stay on topic with what your Facebook page is about. If you are not willing to follow simple common sense rules, you risk getting a counterproductive result and losing both followers and potential buyers at the same time.
- Use the Facebook page only: if you’ve read my guide on how to join Facebook as a business, you probably already know. Anyway, I refresh your memory: don’t think you can successfully carry out sales activities on your personal Facebook profile. Facebook is a social network designed for people; if you want to work on Facebook to make money as if you had a company, open a Facebook page. If you need more information you can also read my guide “How to turn profile into Facebook page”.
- Increase the number of followers and the visibility of your posts: you can do it too easily. In addition to following the advice contained in my guide on how to have many “likes” on a Facebook page, use the function “Highlight” of Facebook that allows you to pay to advertise your content, with prices that vary depending on the size of the audience to be reached. If you are the first to invest and believe in your work, you will see that people will notice and succeed earn with Facebook.
