How to make bricks on Minecraft: After many have described it as a fantastic game, you have finally decided to approach Minecraft , Mojang’s well-known sandbox title. You have therefore taken your first steps within the boundless world made available by the game, but you have some doubts about the objects that you can “craft”, that is, create. In particular, you would need a solid element to build your structures and you have therefore thought about bricks, but you don’t really know where to start. Well, then you will be happy to know that you have come to the right place, at the right time!
In today’s guide, in fact, I will explain in detail how to make bricks on Minecraft . If you are wondering, I will show you step by step how to build different types of bricks, including stone ones, and I will provide you with all the necessary information on where to find the necessary materials. I almost forgot: there will be a way to talk about a mod that will allow you to build bricks and expand the possibilities related to them.
Courage: why are you still standing still in front of the screen? Do you want to build bricks on Minecraft? I’d say yes, since you’ve come this far and are reading this tutorial with interest. Come on then, the structures of your dreams are just a few minutes away from you: you just need to get comfortable and follow the quick instructions below. Having said that, there is nothing else for me to do, except to wish you happy reading and have fun!
Collect the necessary materials
Before going into the details of the procedure on how to make bricks on Minecraft , I think you may be interested to know more about the materials necessary for the construction of this element in the Survival mode of the title of Mojang. I remind you that in Creative mode you already have all the appropriate materials in the inventory.
Well, to create “common” bricks on Minecraft you need a clay plate , a unit of any fuel (eg Coal) and a furnace . The clay sod is obtained by simply destroying the clay blocks present in the game world, while the various fuels can be obtained in multiple ways. My advice is to focus on Coal , since it is found simply by destroying the blocks of raw coal .
As for the furnace , you have to join 8 blocks of crushed stone , leaving the space in the center of the workbench empty . To create the latter, you have to join 4 units of aces , which are simply found within the game world, while for more information on the crushed stone I recommend you consult my tutorial on how to make a Cobblestone Generator , or an automatic generator of this material.
Afterwards, you can join 4 “common” brick units to create a block of bricks . If you want to build stone bricks instead , Minecraft only has the “already finished” block. To create the latter, you simply need to find 4 stone units , which are found in abundance within the game world.
In short, as you can see, we are talking about rather simple materials to find even in Survival mode . If you really can’t find something, I suggest you use an interesting external tool to get the “recipe” to create the various materials: I refer to MineSearch .
To use this service, all you have to do is connect to its official website , write in the search bar (located at the top right) the name of the element you need and select the most relevant result .
In this way, the combination of objects necessary to create the object involved will appear on the screen and you will simply have to reproduce it within Minecraft in the way that I will explain to you in the next chapters.
How to make bricks on Minecraft
Making “common” bricks on Minecraft is not that difficult once the right materials are obtained.
The first thing you need to do is place a workbench on the ground.
After that, interact with it and place 8 blocks of crushed stone , leaving the central box empty.
At this point, place the furnace you just created on the ground.
Now, interact with it and place a clay sod in the upper block and a fuel unit in the lower block, to create a brick .
Once you have created 4 brick units , interact with the workbench you previously placed and join the units to make a block of bricks .
How stone bricks are made on Minecraft
How do you say? Would you like to make stone bricks rather than ordinary ones? No problem, I’ll explain immediately how to proceed: even in this case, the procedure is not complex.
In fact, all you have to do is open the inventory (by pressing, for example, the E button on the PC keyboard) or interact with a workbench and place 4 stone units , thus creating a block of stone bricks .
Mod to make bricks on Minecraft
As we have seen previously, Minecraft offers different types of bricks. However, you may want to add more to make truly original constructions within the Mojang title. Well, in this case I recommend using the Bricks mod , compatible with version 1.7.10 of the Java edition for PC of Minecraft.
Before proceeding with the installation of the mod, you must correctly configure the Forge profile . To do this, connected to the official website and press on the Installer item , clearly choosing one of the versions supported by the mod. You may have to press on the Show all Version item to access the more “dated” Forge profiles. Also, in certain cases, you may have to wait a few seconds and press the SKIP button , located at the top right, to start the download .
Once the latter is finished, start the forge- [version] -installer.jar file obtained, press on the Install Client item and press OK . Great, you have now successfully installed Forge on your computer.
At this point, go to the CurseForge website and press the Download button on the right. In this way, you will get the Bricks- [version] .jar file , which you will have to move / copy in the Minecraft mod folder . On Windows , the path to follow is C: Users [username] AppDataRoaming.minecraftmods , while on macOS it is ~ / Library / Application Support / minecraft / mods .
To use the mod, you just have to select the Forge profile using the down arrow icon on the left, next to the PLAY button , on the main screen of the Minecraft Launcher .
Once in the game, possibly in Creative mode , just press the E button on the keyboard, select the compass icon on the right and type ” bricks “.
At this point, you just have to take one of the many brick blocks added by the mod (eg Red Bricks ) and use it to create your structures .
