How to import NK2 files into Outlook: Every time we compose a new email in Outlook and type a letter in the recipient field, suggestions appear that help us remember, and therefore select, the addresses of the people we want to reach. These suggestions are automatically generated by the application and are collected in a single file, in NK2 format, which can be easily transferred from one PC to another or from one Outlook installation to another.

To transfer the NK2 file from one PC to another or from one Outlook installation to another, just copy it to the “right” folder and start Outlook by giving a command that forces the program to “read” the file. But be careful, you have to follow a slightly different procedure depending on the version of Office installed on your PC. Starting from Office 2010, in fact, the NK2 file has been replaced by another file (Stream_Autocomplete_0_[xx].dat) which is located in a different folder and requires a few different steps to integrate with NK2 files from previous versions of Office.

If you want to know more and, above all, you want to find out how to import NK2 files into outlook, read on: find all the information you need right below. We will first see how to find the NK2 file to be transferred to the new PC (or in the new Outlook installation) and then how to import it into all the most popular versions of Microsoft Office.
