In the new diary-style profiles, the first one that catches the eye is undoubtedly the cover, that is the large image that is at the top of the page and that “opens”, together with the classic profile image, the personal diary of each user.

Look for a quick and easy way to embellish a Facebook page by creating custom cover images, I recommend using Tricked Out Timeline. It is a free online service that in a few simple clicks allows you to create truly spectacular Facebook covers starting from any photo. To use it, all you have to do is connect to its home page and click on the orange arrow with the inscription Start Here.

At this point, choose which type of cover you want to create by clicking on one of the four models available: Merge Profile & Cover Photo to create a cover that also has a profile image inside it, Missing Jigsaw Piece to create a cover with a puzzle effect, Tear Off The Bottom Edge to create a cover with a torn paper effect or Profile Picture Zoom to create a cover that is a zoomed version of the profile picture.

Once you have selected the type of cover you want to create for your profile, click on Browse And Upload to select an image to use as a cover from your PC or click on the button Profile Photo to select an image that you have already uploaded to Facebook.

Then use the mouse to select the portion of the image to use as the cover (using the preview on the right to view the final result) and, when you are satisfied with the result, click on the button Done to start the process of creating your new Facebook profile cover.

Now, you just have to click on the item first Already liked us? (located at the bottom right) and then on the buttons Download your Cover Photo! And Download your Profile Photo! to download the newly created cover and profile images to your PC.

After the images obtained, connect to your profile page on Facebook and change both the cover and the profile photo by placing the mouse pointer on them and clicking on the buttons respectively Change cover> Upload photos And Edit Profile Picture> Upload Photo.

In this way you have made the first impact with your diary much more pleasant but, as I told you, for embellish a Facebook page you also need to organize your posts so that they are sorted and that the most important messages and / or events stand out from the rest.

To do this, you can use two fundamental tools made available by the new one Facebook diary. I am referring to the possibility of widening a post on both columns of the profile, by clicking on the icon of star (Show in evidence) located at the top right, and to announce an important event by clicking on the button Important event (e.g. graduation, change of house, birth of a child, etc.) placed above the text field for updating the status.
