Downloading Skype for Android is very easy to do. All you need to succeed is a few minutes of free time and an active Internet connection.

So, dedicate yourself to reading this simple tutorial to find out immediately what operations you need to perform in order to download Skype for Android. You will see that at the end of this guide you will agree with me that it was a real child’s play, much more than you thought.

If you want to download Skype for Android the first thing you need to do is take your smartphone or tablet, make sure that it is connected to the Internet and that the connection is actually working and access the Play Store of Goolge by touching its icon on the home screen of your smartphone or tablet or on the screen where there are the icons of all the apps installed on the device.

Once this is done, presses on the search bar located at the top, type “Skype” (without quotes) and presses on the first search result displayed, the one next to which there is also the application icon. If you want to speed up the execution of this operation you can also click here from your Android smartphone or tablet to connect directly to the section of the Google Play Store dedicated to the app.

Press the button now Install green color which is placed in the upper right part of the screen so that you can immediately download Skype for Android. Proceed by tapping on the item Accept to complete the operation.

After downloading Skype for Android and after waiting a few moments for the app to be installed, you can finally use the VoIP client straight from your device. To do this, press the icon of the new app that has been added to the home screen of your device or on the screen where there are the icons of all the apps installed on your smartphone or tablet.

Once the main screen of Skype for Android is displayed, presses the button Skype name or on the button Microsoft account to access the service using the username and password of your Skype account or your Microsoft account (Outlook, Live, Hotmail).

If this is the first time you use Skype and / or you do not have a Microsoft account, you can create a free profile on the service by selecting the item Create an account located at the bottom of the screen. Then scroll the screen that opens up and down, choose according to your needs whether or not to keep the check next to the item at the bottom of the screen Yes, I would like to receive news and special offers and then presses the button Forward to accept the conditions of use of Skype and fill out the form that is proposed to you. The fields that you will have to fill in at this point are Full name, Skype name (the username you want to use on the service), Password, Repeat the password And Email address. After filling in all the fields, presses the button depicting an arrow which is located in the lower part of the screen.

Should you encounter any problems when downloading Skype for Android, I remind you that in order to function correctly the app requires that Android 2.3 or higher version be installed on the smartphone or tablet in use. Finally, I remind you that you can also download Skype for Android directly from your computer. To do this click here to connect to the Play Store, log in with your Google account (if necessary) and search for the Skype app similar to what was seen for the mobile version of the service. Then click on the button Install twice in a row.
