If you want to download games for free on your Android smartphone , what you need to do is carefully follow the advice that I will show you in the next chapters. Before you get started, I warn you that you need to make sure your Internet connection is active on your phone and that a Google Account is associated with your device .

On smartphones with Android operating system , you can download apps and games directly from the Play Store . In the Google virtual store, in fact, there are free and paid apps of different types, which meet the different needs of users, including video games.
In case you intend to download free games , I warn you that there is not a specific section for free games in the Play Store, but you can easily check if a title is paid because, in its description, you will find any amount to be paid to download it to the download button. If the price is not present, the app can be downloaded for free (although it may have extra paid content, identified by the wording relating to in-app purchases ).
To download free games from the Play Store, you must first start the Play Store via its icon with a colored triangle that you find on the home screen or in the drawer. In the screen that is shown to you, then select the Games tab and use the different icons available to select the types of content that are most congenial to you.
For example, selecting the tab For you , you will be shown the games that may interest you based on the analysis of your preferences. In the Rankings section , however, video game rankings are proposed based on various criteria.
In any case, if you are looking for a video game of a specific type, access the Categories tab and select the genre of your interest among those available, for example Action , Cards , Role-Playing Games or Simulation .
When you have found the game you want to download, tap on its icon or name and then press the Install button . At this point, you just have to wait for the download and installation process to be completed. Finally, press the Open button or tap on the game icon on the home screen (or in the drawer), to start it.

In the Play Store for Android , there is a section through which you can download video games suitable for children. To access this section, first of all, start the Play Store through its icon with a colored triangle located on the home screen or in the drawer.
Once this is done, select the Games tab and swipe from right to left near the subcategories at the top, in order to locate the one called Family . Once this is done, select the age range from those shown on the screen: Up to five years , Age 6-8 years or From 9 years up , according to your needs.

To download free games on iPhone , you need to rely on the iOS App Store . The latter is the virtual store of Apple devices, which allows you to download apps and games, both free and paid.
Usually, you can recognize a free game from a paid game easily, as there is no amount to pay on its download button. In some cases, however, it is good to specify that the downloadable games at zero cost “hide” optional costs in the form of in-app purchases (the presence of which is however indicated in the description on the App Store).
Having said that, to download a free game for iPhone, start the App Store via its icon with the stylized “A” on the home screen, then press on the Games tab at the bottom and you will be shown the list of all video games divided into categories . In case you want to expand the latter, press on the word See all , located next to them.
As I already told you, you can recognize a free game, as there is the text Get and not the price on the download button. Alternatively, scroll down the screen until you find the Top Free Games category and press the word See all located next to it, to expand the category. Then select the Free Apps tab to access the list of the best free games of the moment.
To download one, press directly on the Get button next to the name of the video game or tap on its name or its thumbnail to access its profile. At this point, press the Get button and unlock the download and installation via the Face ID , Touch ID or Apple ID password .
At the end of this procedure, you can start the game through its icon on the home screen or by pressing the Open button in the App Store.
Download free games for kids
If you want to download free games for iPhone that are suitable for children , what you need to do is follow the instructions that I will show you in the next lines.
First, start the App Store , through its icon with the stylized “A” located on the home screen. Once this is done, select the Games tab and scroll the screen until you find the Top categories section .
What you need to do now is to press on the word See all located next to it and select the item Children : in so doing, you will be shown a section in which both free and paid video games are available.
To select only the free ones, find the Top free category and then press on the word See all , located next to it. You will then be shown a list where you can download all the free games you prefer.
Alternatively, if you are looking for free games for a specific age group, continue scrolling the screen until you find the word Other apps for children . At this point, select one of the proposed categories: Up to 5 years , 6-8 years or 9-11 years . Also in this case, reaching the Free Tops section , you will be able to view the games to download for free for the age group you have selected.
