You do not want or cannot install new programs on your computer and would like to know if there is any tool through which you can convert BMP files to JPG online? The answer is yes. In fact, here below you will find what I believe to be the best instruments in the category: try them and you won’t regret it!

CloudConvert

CloudConvert

Have you ever heard of CloudConvert? No? No problem, I think about it: it is an online service useful for converting images, videos, audio files and various types of documents. It allows you to upload files with a maximum weight of 1 GB and it’s free. By subscribing to one of the paid plans (with prices starting from € 8.54 / month) you can get around the upload limit and get other benefits. Note also that all files uploaded to the service are removed in a matter of hours.

To use it, go to the CloudConvert page dedicated to the tool to convert BMP files to JPG and drag all the images you want to act on into the browser window. Alternatively, press the button Select Files and select “manually” the images from the computer. If the files you want to act on are online (e.g. on Dropbox or Google Drive), click the button with the arrow, select the option you prefer from the menu that opens and load them from there.

Then, start the conversion process by clicking on the button Start Conversion placed at the bottom right. Once the conversion is complete, proceed with the download of the final files by clicking on the button download that you find next to the name of each of them.

If you want to avoid having to download the various JPG images returned one at a time, before starting the conversion procedure, you can choose to make a single download in the form of a compressed archive, by clicking on the button archive you find on the right and specifying the format of your interest from the menu that appears.

Always before starting the conversion, if necessary, you can adjust the quality of the final images and intervene on other parameters relating to them: to do this, press the button with the wrench placed next to the name of each file and use the available options.

Convertio

Convertio

As an alternative to the online service I have already told you about, you can evaluate the use of Convertio: this is another excellent free web solution to perform image conversion operations (and not only). It works from any browser and operating system, has a simple and intuitive interface and allows you to upload files with a maximum size of 100 MB. It’s free, but by subscribing to a subscription with prices starting from $ 9.99, you can get extra features, such as the ability to upload heavier files.

To use Convertio, go to the service website and click on the button From a computer, to select the BMP files you want to convert to JPG from your PC. Alternatively, drag the images directly into the browser window. If the images of your interest are online, you can select the icon of Dropbox or that of Google Drive to upload them from one of the cloud storage services just mentioned, or you can click on the icon chain to upload a file from the web by providing its URL.

In the following, press the button Convert, located at the bottom, and waits for the files to be uploaded to the service servers first and then converted. When done, click the button Download that you find under the name of each image, to save the latter on your computer. Alternatively, you can save the files to your account Dropbox or on Google Driveby clicking on the relevant buttons located at the bottom of the page before starting the conversion procedure.
