At this point, go on Screen lock and password> Password and choose one of the options available from Sequence, PIN And Password. If an unlocking system is already active on your device, in order to access the “Password” menu you will need to unlock the device by typing the appropriate PIN, the appropriate password or drawing the appropriate sequence on the screen.
Now, if you have chosen to set a sequence, draw the sequence you want to use to unlock the screen of your device, repeat the operation on the next screen and, to finish, set a PIN backup to use in case you forget the sequence.
If, on the other hand, you have chosen to set a PIN or one Password, type the latter two consecutive times, press the button end And that’s it. In the case of devices equipped with fingerprint sensor, after setting the PIN you are asked to also configure unlocking by fingerprint: to accept, press the button To record and follow the instructions on the screen.
In any case, you can set up unlocking by fingerprint later by going to the menu Settings Android, by selecting the items Footprint ID And Footprint management, by entering the device unlock PIN and choosing the option New imprint.
Mission accomplished! From now on, to unlock your smartphone or tablet you will need to use the pattern, PIN or password you set. And if you have a terminal equipped with a fingerprint sensor, you can also take advantage of the fingerprint unlock. Happy?
How do you say? You would like remove the screen lock of your Huawei device in a complete way, in order to access its home screen with a simple swipe upwards? It can be done, but it is a very dangerous operation for privacy: in this way, in fact, anyone could take your smartphone or tablet and access its content.
Are you aware of the risk and are you willing to take it? Then proceed like this: go to the menu Settings> Fingerprint ID> Fingerprint Management, enter your device’s unlock PIN or password and move to OFF the function lever Unlock screen. Then set a sequence as an unlocking system for your device as explained above.
At this point, put your phone or tablet on standby, turn the screen back on, draw one wrong sequence 5 consecutive timesuntil a 60 second countdown. Wait for the end of the countdown, press the voice Backup PIN that appears at the bottom right, type the Backup PIN you have configured for your sequence and that’s it.

Change lock screen wallpaper on Huawei
If your intent is change the lock screen wallpaper of your Huawei smartphone, you can act in various ways: the simplest one is to go to the Android settings menu and call up, from there, the option to change the background on the lock screen.
To proceed, start the app Settings of your device (thegear icon located on the home screen or in the screen with the list of all the apps installed on the device), go to Display> Wallpaper and select the box dedicated to Lock screen.
At this point, choose the option Use Home Screen Wallpaper if you want to apply the same wallpaper you applied to the home screen to the lock screen or, alternatively, select the item Use other backgrounds to choose an alternate wallpaper.
If you have chosen the option to apply an alternative wallpaper to the unlock screen, you will be offered a selection of predefined wallpapers, divided into various tabs: How does it work with some sponsored wallpapers; Top with the best wallpapers of the moment; Category with thematic wallpaper collections e My, with the list of wallpapers already downloaded to your device.
If the wallpaper of your interest is among the predefined ones proposed by Huawei, tap on its thumbnail and press the button Download, to start the download. When the download is complete, press the button Apply (always at the bottom left) and confirm the use of the wallpaper on the lock screen by pressing the √ button located at the top right.
If, on the other hand, you want to use an image that you have previously downloaded from the Internet or a photo that you took with the camera of your smartphone (or tablet) as the background of the lock screen, select the tab My, presses the button Other located in the lower center and choose the icon of Gallery from the screen that opens.
At this point, choose a album of the Gallery of your device (eg. Camera for photos taken with the camera), select the image you want to use as the lock screen background and press the √ button located at the top right to apply it.
If you want, you can also achieve the same result by opening the photos of your interest in applications such as Gallery And Google Photos and selecting the option to use the image as background from the menu of the latter.
For example, if you decide to use the app Gallery default of your device, you can set an image as the background of the lock screen by simply selecting its thumbnail, pressing the button Menu located at the bottom and selecting the items Set as And Background from the menus that appear on the screen. Next, tap on the √ button located at the top right, choose the option Screen lock (or Both of them, if you want to apply the same wallpaper to the lock screen and the home screen) from the box that appears in the center of the screen and that’s it.
The procedure to follow in Google Photos is practically the same: open the application, select the image to set as the background of the lock screen, press the ⋮ button located at the top right and choose the item Use as from the menu that opens. Next, tap on the icon Background, press the √ button located at the top right, choose the option Screen lock (or Both of them, if you want to apply the same wallpaper to lock screen and home screen) from the box that appears in the center of the screen and the image will be used as wallpaper.
How do you say? Have you tried to follow my instructions but the background on the lock screen of your smartphone does not change? Let me guess: Are you by any chance offered a different image every time you turn on your phone? I knew: in this case, you have activated an EMUI theme that uses the feature Carousel Wallpaper and, therefore, proposes a different wallpaper for the lock screen each time the device is turned on, without taking into account the wallpapers chosen by the user.
To remedy the problem, start the application Themes present in the drawer of your device (screen with the list of all the apps installed on it), find a theme that does not include the automatic slideshow on the lock screen (eg. BlackLabel, in the tab My) and apply it, pressing first on its miniature and then on the button Apply.
Mission accomplished! Now try to change the lock screen background as I explained to you in the previous lines of this tutorial and you shouldn’t encounter more obstacles in achieving your goal.
