How to change Facebook account on PC

If you want to change Facebook account from PC, know that you can use the function Change account which, at the time of writing, is usable only in the desktop environment (in the previous chapters dedicated to Android and iOS, in fact, I have not mentioned it). Activating the function in question is quite simple: just log out of the account in use, log in to the new profile and, as if by “magic”, a new button will appear in the blue Facebook bar through which you can switch from one profile to another. ‘more in a few clicks. Let me explain in more detail how to proceed.

For starters, connect to Facebook and log out of your “main” account (if you have not already done so). Then press the button (+) Add account located on the left and log in to the “second” Facebook account: enter the login data of the latter by filling in the text fields Email or phone And Password and then presses the blue button Log in.

Mission accomplished! In addition to changing your Facebook account on your PC, you have also activated the button Change account (the icon of the two men located next to your name, in the blue bar of the social network): by pressing on it, you can quickly switch from one account to another by clicking on the image of the corresponding profile (and eventually entering the password) . Convenient, right?

Note: from the tests I conducted, I noticed that on some browsers (in this case Safari) the “Change account” button does not appear immediately after logging in (to the second account). Therefore, if after following the above steps you still do not see the button in question, repeat the procedure and you will see that you should solve the problem. On Chrome, however, I have not encountered this problem.

Other useful solutions

Do you want to use two different Facebook accounts on your device at the same time? As for accessing Facebook from mobile, in this case Android, you can download the app Facebook Lite: a “lighter” version of the Facebook app (especially designed for those who have poor performance devices or live in places where fast Internet connections are not available) with which to access a “secondary” account.

If you use a device iOS, unfortunately you cannot count on Facebook Lite, since it is not yet available on the App Store, but you can still solve the problem by accessing the web version of Facebook directly from the browser (eg. Safari, Chrome, etc.).

For what concern PCInstead, you can log into Facebook with another account using free extensions for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, such as Swap My Cookies (for Chrome) or CookieSwap (for Firefox). Using them is really simple: just log in first with one account and then with the other and, once you have completed the simple configuration procedure, you will be able to switch from one profile to another in a few clicks.

Would you like to deepen the topic by examining in more detail the operation of the aforementioned solutions? So you can’t help but take a look at the tutorial in which I explain how to log in to Facebook with another account: there you will find all the explanations of the case.
