How to burn Xbox games: Rummaging through the data on your computer’s hard drive, did you come across some game image files for your trusted Xbox and now would you like to burn them so you can use them on the famous console? Yup? Well, it seems like a good idea! How do you say? You agree with me perfectly but you don’t have the faintest idea how to go about it burn Xbox games? But you don’t have to worry… even this time you can count on me!

In fact, in the following lines I will go to show you everything that is possible to do to be able to burn Xbox games on your computer in no time at all. Before venturing into reading this guide, however, it is good that you provide yourself with some blank DVDs and a computer with an attached burner. In support of the “paraphernalia” that I have just mentioned, the special programs that I am about to show you must then be added.

So, if you are really interested in finding out how to burn Xbox games, I invite you to give yourself half an hour or so of free time, to get comfortable in front of your computer and to concentrate carefully on reading this guide. Don’t worry, you won’t have to do anything overly complicated, you have my word.

Note: The information in this guide is for demonstration purposes only. I therefore take no responsibility for how you will use this tutorial.

Burn Xbox games with ImgBurn

On Windows it is possible to burn Xbox games by resorting to the use of special software suits the burning of ISO images as in the case of the excellent ImgBurn. If you have never heard of it, know that it is a free software that allows you to burn ISO images in an extremely simple and fast way and that also provides users with some advanced features at the same level as those of the most “popular” paid programs.

To begin with, download the program. To do this click here so that you can immediately connect to the official ImgBurn website, press on the voice Download present at the top and then click on the item first Mirror x – Provided by MajorGeeks and then on Download @ MajorGeeks. Then wait for the download of the program to start and then complete, then double-click on the installation package named SetupImgBurn_x.x.exe which is now present on your computer.

In the window that will open at this point, first click on Yup and then on Next. Therefore accept the conditions of use of the program by placing the check mark next to the item I accept the terms of the License Agreement and then click in sequence on the button Next six consecutive times, on the button Yup and on the button Close to finish the setup. During the installation process, you may be offered the download of additional promotional software, such as Ad-Aware or PC Mechanic. To decline the invitation, put the check mark next to the item Custom installation and uncheck all options below. Then start ImgBurn by double clicking on its icon which has been added to the desktop.

The ImgBurn user interface that is proposed to you is in English but you can easily translate it into Italian by downloading the translation file clicking here. After downloading the file for the translation of the software on your computer, open the archive by double clicking on it just downloaded and extract the file italian.lng which contains in the folder C: Program Files ImgBurn Languages. Then restart ImgBurn and the program will have the interface completely translated into Italian.

Now that you see the ImgBurn window translated into Italian you can finally take the real action and start burning Xbox games! To do this, the first step you need to take is to click on the button Burn an image then insert a blank disk into your PC’s DVD drive and wait a few moments for it to be detected by the software.

At this point, if you only have the ISO image of the game to be burned, you must first create a special file in DVD format and then proceed to burn the disk while if you also have a file in DVD format in addition to the ISO file you can skip the first step and proceed directly to burning the game.

If you only have the ISO image of the game to burn, press the menu Starttype block notes in the search field that is shown to you and then click on the first result in the list to access Block notes. Then proceed by writing the following text in the Notepad window:

LayerBreak = xxxxxxx


Then replace game.iso with the name of the ISO file to be burned and xxxxxxx next to the item LayerBreak = with game-specific Layer Break for the type of Xbox you have. If you own one Xbox of the first generation the Layer Break to use is 1913776if you have one instead Xbox 360 type the number 1913760 while if you intend to materialize Xbox games in XGD3 enter the number 2133520. Afterward, save the newly created text file in the same folder where the game image file is located. Then proceed to rename the file you just created and change its extension from .txt to .DVD. If you don’t know how to view and rename the file extension you can follow the simple steps indicated in my guide on how to change file extension. At this point you should have two files: the game image file and the text file you first created and then renamed.

To burn the game then select the item Settings from the menu Instruments of the software and, in the window that at this point is shown to you, go to the tab you writeput the check mark next to the item User specified on the right and fill in the relevant text field by typing the number corresponding to the Layer Break you used. Then click on the button OK to save the settings, select the document in DVD format as the source file to be burned by clicking on the folder icon at the top left and start the burning procedure by pressing the appropriate button.

If, on the other hand, you already have the DVD file for the game, you can go directly to burning it by clicking on Burn an imageselecting the DVD file through the yellow folder present at the top left and clicking on the button to burn which is located at the bottom. As a writing speed I suggest you never go beyond the 4x.

Then wait for the procedure to burn Xbox games to be completed and for the disk previously inserted into the computer to be ejected from the computer burner, after which you can finally enjoy the game directly on your console.

Burn Xbox games with iBurn360

If, on the other hand, you use OS X and you are therefore interested in understanding how to burn Xbox games on your Mac I invite you to contact iBurn360. This is a free application specific to OS X and used exclusively for burning games for the Microsoft home console.

In order to burn Xbox games with iBunr 360, download the program on your Mac. To do this click here in such a way that you can immediately connect to the reference Web page of the software and then press the button Download Now located at the top, click on Softpedia Secure Download (US) and wait for the program to be downloaded to your computer. Then press the iBunr360 icon (by default you should find it in the folder Download) and wait for the program window to be visible on the screen. If, on the other hand, a warning appears that it is not possible to open iBunr360 because it comes from an unidentified developer, to solve it click with the right mouse button on the program icon, select the item You open from the menu that is shown to you and then click on the button You open.

Then insert a blank disk into your Mac’s DVD drive and wait a few moments for it to be detected. Then select the support on which you intend to go to act using the drop-down menu under the item Choose your recorderdrag in the program window, in the box below the item Drop your xbox 360 image in the box below the ISO file of the game and set the right Layer Break in the box next to the item Layer break:. If you don’t know which Layer Break to set, you can follow the instructions I gave you in the previous lines, when I explained how to burn Xbox games with ImgBurn on Windows.

Then set the writing speed using the drop-down menu next to Recording speed: and then click the button Burn! to kick off the burning process.

Then wait for the procedure by which to burn Xbox games on OS X is completed and that the disk previously inserted in the computer is ejected from the Mac burner after which you can start enjoying the game directly on your console.
