How to burn Xbox 360 games: You’ve made backup copies of your games for Xbox 360 but you don’t know how to burn them to play on your console? Granted that a modified Xbox is required to run mastered games, this is extremely easy to complete. All you need are a blank dual-layer DVD, a DVD burner that can “digest” this type of media and the free ImgBurn program.
ImgBurn is a very advanced burning software for Windows that allows you to create and, above all, burn image files of any CD or DVD without any problems. It’s also ideal for console games, so a little chat and let’s see right away how to burn xbox 360 games using it.
The first step you need to take to learn how to burn xbox 360 games is to connect to the ImgBurn website and click on the item first Mirror x – Provided by MajorGeeks and then on the link Download @ MajorGeeks to download the program to your PC. When the download is complete, double-click on it to open the file you just downloaded (SetupImgBurn_220.127.116.11.exe) and, in the window that opens, click first on Yes and then on Next.
Then accept the conditions of use of the program, putting the check mark next to the item I accept the terms of the License Agreementand first click on Next for four consecutive times and then on Finish to finish the installation process and start ImgBurn.
By default, the ImgBurn user interface is in English but you can easily translate it into Italian by downloading the translation file from here. When the download is complete, double-click on it to open the archive you just downloaded (italian.zip) and extract the file italian.lng which contains in the folder C: Program FilesImgBurnLanguages. Then restart ImgBurn and the program will have the interface completely translated into Italian.
For burn Xbox 360 games with ImgBurnall you have to do is start the program and click on the button Burn an image. At this point, you have two options: if you only have the ISO image of the game to burn you must first set the Layer Break and then proceed to create the disk, if instead a file in DVD format is coupled to the ISO file in your possession you can skip the first step and proceed directly to burning. But let’s go in order.
If you only have the ISO image of the game to burn, select the entry Settings from the menu Instruments Of ImgBurn and, in the window that opens, go to the tab you writeput the check mark next to the item User specified (on the right) and fill in the text field next to it by typing the number 1913760. Then click on the button OK to save the settings, select the ISO file to burn by clicking on the icon school bag at the top left and proceed with burning by clicking on the appropriate button.
If you also have the DVD file for the game to burn (it is very small, after all it is a simple renamed text file), you can skip the Layer Break setting and go directly to burning the game by clicking on Burn an imageby selecting the file DVD through the yellow folder at the top left and clicking on the burn button located at the bottom. As for writing speed, try never to go beyond the 4x.
Since September 2011, many Xbox 360 games are being made with a new technique called Game Data 3 which allows video game software houses to take advantage of 1GB more on DVDs. With this type of securities, for burn Xbox 360 games a few more tricks are needed (while taking advantage of the classic dual-layer DVDs).
You have to manually create a DVD files for game ISO images by opening the Block notes Windows and writing the following in it:
LayerBreak = 2133520
Replace game.iso with the name of the ISO file to burn and save the document in the same folder where the game image file is located. At this point, rename the newly created file and change its extension from .txt to .DVD. If you can’t see file extensions, find out how in my guide on how to show file extension.
You should now have two files: game.iso (the game image file) and game.dvd (the text file you first created and then renamed). To burn the game, start therefore ImgBurnset the Layer Break to 2133520 as seen previously and proceed to create the disk by selecting the documents in DVD.
