How to appoint Facebook page administrator: Some time ago you decided to create a Facebook page and, also following my instructions on how to increase the likes, you managed to get some success. Unfortunately, since you found a job, you no longer have time to manage and follow it properly. Wait, wait, don’t tell me you’re thinking of closing it? This is not the right solution: you would only give a very big disappointment to all the users who follow you.

How do you say? Do you want to know if I can help you solve this problem and you want to know what I recommend you do? It’s very simple: if your commitments keep you away from your Facebook page, entrust it to your friend or someone you trust: he will take care of it, managing it for you. How? By appointing him as administrator, of course.

Don’t worry if you are unaware of this possibility, I am here ready to shed some light on the matter. You must in fact know that Facebook allows you to appoint administrator of a Facebook page even people who did not participate in the creation of the page itself. Just a few clicks (or a few taps, if you are acting as a smartphone or tablet) and that’s it: in the following lines I will explain how to proceed, step by step. Happy reading and have fun!

The roles of a Facebook page

Before explaining yourself in detail how to appoint an administrator for a Facebook page, I have to tell you about the different roles related to the management of the same and, consequently, what are the tasks of each figure. This is a very important issue: each role, in fact, has well-defined tasks.

  • Administrator: it is the most important role that can be assumed for the management of a Facebook page. The person who assumes this role is also the one who has full powers for its management. The administrator can create content and advertisements, but also manage the comments and messages of the page; can view all statistics in the section Insights and can change the roles of other collaborators, assigning another administrator and possibly other roles for the page itself. If your intent is to add a new administrator, you must take into consideration that this must be a trusted person. The page administrator can delete the page and change its name.
  • Editor: is the other most important figure on a Facebook page. This role allows you to manage all the contents of the Facebook page, such as comments, messages, profile and cover images. It is a role that must be assigned to the person who has to manage the contents of the page and, among the tasks, includes the possibility of broadcasting in live streaming from mobile devices.
  • Moderator: as can be easily guessed from the name, this role allows you to moderate the contents of the Facebook page. The moderator can in fact manage comments, delete them if necessary and also reply to messages received.
  • Advertiser: is that figure who, within the Facebook page, takes care of the advertisements. Consequently, its main task is to display the section data Insights.
  • Analyst: also in this case it is easy to understand the tasks of this figure, who has the possibility to visualize the section Insights to analyze the progress of the Facebook page.
  • Contributor for live video: is that figure who collaborates on the Facebook page with the aim of making live videos from mobile devices.

As the administrator of a Facebook page, you have no limits on the number of collaborators you can add; Furthermore, it is not mandatory that the person in charge, whatever his job, is present in your Facebook friends list.

Now that I have explained to you in more detail what are the roles that you can have for managing a Facebook page, we can move on to the practical part of this tutorial.

How to appoint Facebook page administrator

The procedure relating to the appointment of an administrator for a Facebook page can be carried out in a simple way both from a computer, through a special section that can be visited via the Facebook site, and from mobile devices, using the application Facebook Business Suite for Android And iOS. In the following lines I will explain, step by step, how to proceed in both cases.

From computer

If you want to appoint another person as the administrator of a Facebook page and you want to act as a computer, first of all connected to the social network, in order to access your account and view the newsfeed of Facebook.

Now, click the button with the symbol (), located in the top bar of Facebook and, from the drop-down menu you see on the screen, presses on the name of the Facebook page that you are currently administering and for which you want to appoint a new person with the role of administrator. Alternatively, you can easily reach the Facebook page you want, by clicking on its name which is present in the side section of the social network, in correspondence with the wording Quick links. You can also search for it by typing its name into the social network’s internal search engine and clicking on the corresponding search result.

On the main screen of the Facebook page, presses on the wording Settings, located at the top, and then click on the item Page roles, in the left side menu. Then, in correspondence with the wording Assign a new role on the page, click on the drop-down menu you see on the screen and press the item Administrator.

At this point, to add a new administrator, type his name or his email address in the text field you see on the screen and then press the button add. To confirm the operation, type the password of your Facebook account and click the button Send. The person in charge will see a notification on the screen that will notify him of the appointment received: the office will be immediately active.

From smartphones and tablets

Facebook Business Suite

If your intent is to appoint another person as the administrator of the Facebook page you manage and you want to act from mobile devices, you must download the application Facebook Business Suite from the Play Store of Android or from the App Store of iOS, dedicated not only to Facebook but also to Instagram.

To do this, go to the virtual store of your operating system and then, using the internal search engine, locate the application in question and select it. Now if you have a device Android, download the app Facebook Business Suite pressing the button Install. If, on the other hand, you have a device iOS, press the button Get and then on the button Install; if prompted, type the password of your iCloud account, place your finger on the Touch ID or confirm the application installation via the Face ID.

For both operating systems, once the application is installed, start it by pressing the button You open or tap on its icon that will have been added on the main screen of the device ..

If this is your first time accessing the application Facebook Business Suite, log in with your Facebook account and set up the app to activate receiving notifications. Now, locate the Facebook page you want to manage by tapping on thumbnail located in the lower left corner, then up in the upper left corner and, from the drop-down menu you see on the screen, presses on the name of the page of your interest. Then press the icon with i squares located in the lower right corner and, via the section Settings, tap on the item Edit page roles.

Now, to add a new role to the page, press the button Add a person to the page, type the password of your Facebook account and then press the button Keep it going. Then use the text field Type in the name of a Facebook user to write the name of the person to whom you want to entrust the role, put the check mark next to the wording Administrator and finish the procedure by pressing on add.

How to manage the roles of a Facebook page

The appointment of an administrator for a Facebook page, but also the appointment of another role, among those listed above, can be revoked at any time by another administrator of the Facebook page. The procedure for this operation can be performed from both computers and mobile devices. In the following lines I’ll explain how to proceed in both cases.

From computer

Have you named a person administrator of the Facebook page you manage, but have now changed your mind and want to remove them? Not a problem: go to the official Facebook website and, once logged in, locate, as I explained to you in previous paragraph, the Facebook page you manage and click on its name to view it.

Now, click the buttons Settings> Page roles and identifies, in correspondence with the wording Existing page roles, the person to whom the office has been assigned. To manage your appointment, first press the button Edit next to its name, then click the button Remove and confirm your choice by pressing the button Confirmation. To finish the removal, type the password of your Facebook account and click the button Send.

From smartphones and tablets

You can remove a previously added administrator (or a person with any other office) also through the application Facebook Business Suite for devices Android And iOS. I have already explained to you how to install it on your device, so, if in doubt, refer to the instructions of the previous paragraph.

Through the application in question, locate and tap on the wording that refers to the page you manage, press the button with the symbol () located at the bottom right and finally press on the items Page Settings> Edit Page Roles.

To complete the operation and then remove a person from the office of administrator, press the button with the pencil symbol, in correspondence of its name, insert the password of your Facebook account, press the button Keep it going and finally tap on the wording Remove twice in a row.
