If the answer is yes, I am happy to inform you that you have come to the right place, or better, on the right guide. In the following lines, in fact, I’m going to show you everything you need to do to succeed activate Bluetooth Windows 8.

Before you can be frightened and think about who knows what complicated operation to do, I want to clarify right away that unlike appearances, activating Bluetooth Windows 8 is really very simple, you just need to know where to “get your hands”, trust me.

If you are therefore interested in finding out what are the steps that must be performed to be able to activate Bluetooth Windows 8 I invite you to take a few moments of free time, to sit comfortably in front of your computer and to focus carefully on reading the indications that I am about to give you. We bet that in the end you will be ready to shout to the winds that activating Bluetooth Windows 8 was actually a real no-brainer?

To be able to activate Bluetooth Windows 8 the first operation that I invite you to do is to check that the computer you have is integrated into support to this type of connectivity. If you purchased your computer recently, surely it is so while if you have a slightly “older” PC with the penultimate version of the Microsoft home operating system installed, support for Bluetooth connectivity may not be integrated. In any case, checking costs nothing and in the unfortunate event that Bluetooth was not integrated “as standard” it is still possible to remedy it in a very simple way.

To check if the support for Bluetooth technology is integrated on your computer with Windows 8 installed, press the icon depicting a yellow folder that is located on the taskbar, locate the item This PC attached to the left section of the window that is shown to you, click on it with the right mouse button and then select the item Property from the menu that opens.

Click now on the entry Device management located in the left sidebar and then check, in the new window that is shown to you, that among all the various devices present in the PC there is also the item Bluetooth device or that Bluetooth radio. If the item is present in the list it means that your computer supports Bluetooth without problems, otherwise not.

If, on the other hand, your computer does not support Bluetooth connectivity, you can remedy it by purchasing a USB Bluetooth adapter. If you have never heard of it, know that it is a device very similar to the widespread USB sticks that can be bought for copying euros in any electronics store or even online, on Internet sites such as Amazon or eBay, and that allows you to add Bluetooth support to your computer in an extremely simple and fast way.

After verifying the presence of the connectivity support in question on your PC to be able to activate Bluetooth Windows 8 proceed as follows.

If your computer has built-in Bluetooth to activate it, just locate the keyboard button on which the Bluetooth symbol is printed (it is a stylized “B”) and press it. Since in some cases the key to activate Bluetooth Windows 8 is associated with other functions in order to use it you must also hold down the key Fn. In other cases, however, in place of the button there is a lever with written beside it Bluetooth or Wireless and that in order to activate Bluetooth Windows 8 must be moved to ON. Unfortunately, in this regard, I cannot provide you with more precise indications because I am not aware of the exact model of computer and keyboard in your possession and the positions of the keys and levers may vary from brand to brand but in any case you should not have particular difficulties in being able to locate them , they are quite evident.

Another valid operation to activate Bluetooth Windows 8 if your computer integrates support for this type of connectivity is to call up the Charms Bar by moving the mouse cursor to the bottom right or top left corner of the desktop, by clicking on Settings, in pressing up Change PC settings, in pressing on the voice Wireless attached to the left part of the displayed screen and in bringing up ON the switch that you find next to the item Bluetooth under the writing Wireless devices.

If, on the other hand, your computer does not integrate the connectivity support in question and you have bought a USB adapter as I indicated a few lines ago, in order to activate Bluetooth Windows 8, you just need to connect the latter to one of the USB sockets on the PC. Once the adapter is connected, wait a few moments for the automatic installation of the drivers to be started and completed, then make sure that the Bluetooth icon has appeared in the notification area (if you cannot see it, click on the arrow pointing towards the top he finds next to the Windows clock). To check that everything is spun in the right direction, I suggest you type view network connections in the search field attached in the upper right part of the Start Screen after clicking on the button Start, to press on the first result in the list and to check that among the available and active connections there is also that label with the name Bluetooth network connection.

Then choose whether to send a file to the other device with which you wish to communicate or whether to receive a file from the latter after which follow the instructions on the screen to complete the operation.

Know that after having activated Bluetooth Windows 8 in addition to being able to take advantage of this technology as I have just indicated, you can also use it to associate one or more devices to your computer, for example headphones or speakers. To do this, for starters, enable Bluetooth on the device you intend to associate with your computer with Windows 8 installed as I indicated in the previous lines, then press the button Start attached to the Windows taskbar, type control panel in the search field located in the upper right part of the Start Screen and click on the first result that is shown to you. Then locate the section Hardware and sounds (if it is not visible, click on the menu located next to the item View by: present at the top right and select the option Category) then presses up Add a device.

If, despite having activated Bluetooth Windows 8 correctly in the window to search for the devices to be associated, no results appear or the device for which you wish to act is not present, try to deactivate and activate Bluetooth connectivity on it again and to repeat the steps I have indicated previously. Also make sure that the Bluetooth device you intend to pair with your computer with Windows 8 installed is in the vicinity of the computer and that there are no potential sources of interference.
