In any case, there is no problem, let’s fix it immediately: it is a Google home app, which integrates numerous tools for editing and retouching photos and images. It’s super easy to use, free, and available for both Android and iOS / iPadOS.

To use it on Androiddownload it by connecting to the related section of the Play Store and pressing the button Install. If you are using iOS / iPadOSinstead, visit the relevant section of the App Storepress the button Getso on that Install and authorize the download via Face ID, Touch ID or Apple ID password. After opening the photo, select the item Instruments located at the bottom of the screen and choose the tool Wheel from the menu that opens.

In the new screen that appears, tap on the icon with the two triangles and the dotted line, located at the bottom, to mirror the image horizontally. If you need to rotate only the photo, instead, press the button with the arrow adjacent. When the changes are complete, then tap on the button with the check.

To save the edited image, click on the item Export at the bottom right and select the item from the menu that appears Save, if you want to overwrite the original image; the voice Exportto create a copy of the photo, or the entry Export asto create a copy of the image in a specific folder.

Flip Image (Android)

Flip Image

Another application that you can consider using, if what you are using is a device based on AndroidAnd Flip Image. This is a free app that does only two things but does them great: mirror photos, both vertically and horizontally, and rotate them. It allows both to work on single images and on several photos at a time, but in this second case the function must be unlocked through in-app purchases (starting from € 1.49).

To download the application to your device, visit the related section of the Play Store and tap the button Install. Next, tap the button You open appeared on the display or select theicon of the app that has just been added on the home screen or in the drawer.

Now that you see the main screen of Flip Image, grant the app the necessary permissions to access photos, multimedia content and files on the device, then select the item Select one Image to Flip (Free) and choose the photo you are interested in taking action.

Now, touch the wording Flip Hotizzontal at the bottom, to mirror the image horizontally, or that Flip Vertical, to mirror the photo vertically. If, on the other hand, you simply need to rotate the image, press the le buttons left and right arrows placed under the preview of the same.

To save the changes made, click on the button with the del icon floppy disk located at the top right. The edited image will overwrite the original one.

Photos (iOS)

IOS Photos

If what you are using is a iPhone or a iPadI inform you that you do not necessarily have to resort to the use of third-party apps to turn the photos: you can in fact mirror, and possibly also rotate, your images using Photothe default application of iOS / iPadOSto manage, edit and view your photos.

To use the application in question, select its icon (the one with the white background and the colorful flower) that you find on the home screen and select the photo you are interested in going to act from the section Photo (through which you can view individual images in order of shooting), For you (which allows you to view a selection of photos by category) or from that Album (to access the created photo albums first).

Once the image of your interest is displayed, tap on the item Edit located at the top right, select the icon with the cutter located at the bottom of the display and tap the button with the two triangles and the double arrow present at the top left, to mirror the image horizontally. If, on the other hand, you need to rotate the photo, press the button with the rectangle and the arrow adjacent.

After making all the necessary changes, tap on the wording end, located at the bottom right. Note that the changes will be applied to the original image.

QuickFlip (iOS)

QuickFlip

If you are using a iOS / iPadOSamong the apps to shoot photos that I invite you to consider there is also QuickFlip. This is an app that allows you to mirror images horizontally and vertically in “swipes” and it’s free. Note, however, that it offers in-app purchases (starting at € 1.09) to support the developer’s work.

Then proceed to start the application by pressing the button You open appeared on the screen or by touching the relevant icon which has been added to the home screen.

Now that you see the main screen of the application, tap the button with the camera which is located at the top and select the photo saved in the iOS Gallery on which you are interested in going to act (authorizing the application to access it). At this point, swipe to the right or left to mirror the image horizontally, or swipe up or down to mirror it vertically.

If you also need to rotate the photo, press the buttons with the number 90 and the arrow which are located at the bottom of the screen. When you have finished editing, save your photo by tapping on the item Save located at the top right: by doing so, a modified copy of the original image will be created in the iOS Gallery.

If you are interested in this, I would like to point out that by tapping on the circular button with squares found at the bottom of the screen and selecting the item QuickMirroryou can access a function that allows you to create an extended mirrored version of the original photo, both horizontally and vertically: to do this, tap the arrows that you find on the sides of the photo and confirm the changes made by clicking on the item Done located at the top right.
